Manager Sack Watch 2015/16

Leeds are a joke but they got to live the dream that their supporters shouted for. Bet they are sorry now.

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood's job will be at risk if his side lose to Swansea on Saturday(Daily Telegraph)

Oh nailed on for sure. Sacked on the Monday, new manager lined up and appointed within days. Who is their next match???? Tottenham away.

Lump on, sure to happen

Why oh why, are managers getting the boot from their boards only when they see their next league fixture is us????

Villa apparently in talks with Remi Garde.

Villa fans react to the news:

Remi Garde, who the friggin hell is that? I am guessing if true the idiots at Villa think having a French speaking manager will help all the signings. Another ridiculous gamble if true

Remi Garde. How uninspiring. A few seasons at Lyon is not enough for this job.

For some reason they think Moyes and Rodgers would be good appointments.

Moyes has a track record of getting the best out of average players on no budget - ideal for them

Rodgers needs time and a bit of money to shape his squad&philosophy - would be the wrong choice

Garde - surely he speaks English after his time at the Goons

Bottom line is they lack more than 8 players good enough for the top 17 in the PL

remi garde? they could appoint the security guard and it would be an upgrade

moyes would do a good job, he'd be mad to take it though

This. When you hit managerial rock bottom any move is an upgrade.

Most of us would probably do a better job than Captain Bellend has been - we'd at least match the results without shaming the club every time we spoke.

Moyes would be mad to come back to that. Rodgers won't go near it, he would see it as beneath him. He'll be waiting in Jose getting the sack

He got too much of both those things at Liverpool. What philosophy? What shape? Anyway, he'd be the right choice. For everyone but Aston Villa!

Chris Ramsey sacked as QPR manager with Neil Warnock in temporary charge

QPR have sacked Chris Ramsey as their head coach.

Ramsey was relieved of his duties after Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat against Derby – a result that left them 13th in the Championship table.

Neil Warnock, the Rangers manager between 2010 and 2012, has been placed in temporary charge.

Ramsey leaves the role with Rangers struggling, and in a poor position considering they were amongst the pre-season favourites to make an instant return to the Premier League.

Tuesday’s 1-0 loss at Derby - a second in a row and a fourth successive defeat on the road - proved to be the undoing of Ramsey, who won nine of his 32 games in charge.

“We’ve made this decision in the best interests of the football club,” said the QPR director of football, Les Ferdinand.

“It’s no secret that we expected to sell some key players in the summer transfer window, and as such, our target at the start of the season reflected that.

“However, keeping these players at the club has seen the mandate change, owing to what we believe this squad is capable of. We’re all desperately disappointed it hasn’t worked out with Chris. He has had to deal with this shift in expectation and has worked incredibly hard in doing so.”

Rangers added that the search for a replacement would immediately begin but that Warnock would take over on a temporary basis.

He guided Rangers to the Championship title and Premier League football in 2011before losing his job under the new regime of Tony Fernandes.

He has since been at Leeds United and Crystal Palace, but returned to Loftus Road to work as an adviser to Ramsey last month.

Warnock’s first game will come at home to Preston on Saturday.

They have a squad full of rubbish players not good enough for the PL (Green, Henry, Hill, Onuoha, Hoilett, Konchesky, Emmanuel-Thomas). Nobody is getting that team promoted.

i er

kinda

like Warnock

he seems pretty down to earth and I can't recall him underachieving anywhere
