West Bromwich Albion has offered Tim Sherwood the job as manager, according to a World Soccer Talk source.
While Sherwood is interested in the opportunity after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur, a stumbling block that may prevent a deal is the report that Sherwood wants to bring Les Ferdinand to the club as a coach. Albion hasn’t made a decision whether or not they want Ferdinand as part of the deal.
If Sherwood is appointed manager at The Hawthorns, he’ll replace Pepe Mel who was sacked at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, West Brom rejected an undisclosed offer today from Derby for George Thorne, and have made it clear that none of their players are for sale.
“We are not looking to sell anyone,” said WBA Technical Director Terry Burton. “Our only aim is to strengthen our squad this summer – not weaken it.”
