Manager Sack Watch 2014/15

He kept the club in the PL last year, making them multi millions, the club will get multi millions from the new sky deal

He is well within his rights as a manager to ask for a decent amount of cash to buy better quality players and tie up a mid-table finish every year

Just another example of owners knowing **** all

Actually, I find Parish coming out of this looking like he knows quite a bit. Palace have been in a dire situation for ten years, they have a run down stadium and is not a club who should look at themselves like they have a godgiven right to be a premiership club.

Furthermore, Pulis' trackrecord. when it comes to buying players is horrible. He spent 3rd most of all in the years he was at Stoke, and they were never close to anything but lower midtable. Letting him spend a lot on the players has spent a lot on before certainly isn't the way to go for a club like Palace. They aill be far better of in the near fututre by spending on ground, trainingfacilities, and improving the club in general than spending like QPR.

But probably in the Championship, still they will have a great training ground..

The stadium has been done up immensely lately too, its not half as bad as it used to be

Pullis wanted 3 players, Siggy, Livermore and Caulker not Messi, Ronaldo and Muller

3 players, who would have costed 26 millions, plus wages which is probably at least 100.000 a week combined (another 5 millions). Not Messi, Ronaldo and Muller, but still quite a bit of moeny for a club that has a lot of other pressing needs. And, what if they would not have come (which is not unlikely) who then? Would you let Pulis spend another 10 millions on Palacios or Crouch, on long contracts and high wages? And, those players would not guarantee survival either. For Palaca, improving slowly is a far better way of improving than reaching to high and overspending.

The thing is that Pulis (looking at players he have bought) do have a mediocre trackrecord, and he comes around as a manager who has a very limited knowledge of the market.

Very solid observation!

Pulis to end up at West Ham at some point this season?

Parish has done a good job at Palace, they were up **** creek when he took over and he has turned them around.

Unfortunately, running a sound business doesn't resonate with the fans. They want to see money thrown away on unnecessary signings.

Yep, we see plenty of that ourselves.

Palace have a decent youth set up, under Parish they have cleared most of their debts and own their stadium again. They should continue to look to the long term rather than bet the house on Premier League survival.

I wasn't saying he hasn't done a good job, but more commenting on his media profile that he has been working on in the last few weeks. He did save Palace, but he is the first to mention that. He just annoys me for some reason

Yeah. Palace do have an unfortunate habit of being owned by people who look to Robbie Savage as a style icon.

would love to see Hoddle at Palace, sherwood should go to QPR and understudy Redknapp for a while with a view to taking over in a few year's.

Sherwood is nobody's assistant. He considers himself above that sort of thing.
