Bend a constant issue of lateAbsolutely, but there has to be a plan for youth integration otherwise it makes a mockery of the time and money we are investing in youth and scouting

What promises can we make to a player we have effectively only had for one yearI would find this a bit odd from Vuskovic’s PoV. We signed him, we waited for him to arrive, we found him a good loan. At the same time, he did really well while we as a club did really badly.
How can promises possibly have been broken seriously at this point?
I think the way Vuskovic or his team are handling things to be a bit strange to be honest. They’ve clearly let it be known he’d be very happy to go to Brighton. But why is there not more of a ‘I’ll have a PL loan and then crush it at Spurs after that’ view?
Tbh I thought Gutter was younger than that.I don't know what surprised me more - learning that Gutter Boy was in the Bundesliga team of the year, or finding out he is 18![]()
Equally he has done absolutely everything you would want from a youth prospect and their loan deals. There should be a plan in place. Otherwise.....again.....whats the point..I would find this a bit odd from Vuskovic’s PoV. We signed him, we waited for him to arrive, we found him a good loan. At the same time, he did really well while we as a club did really badly.

I’m not saying we should get rid.we shouldn't get rid if all the big clubs in Europe want him surly that says something
Maybe its the profit they are after? Its only double what we paid but if these lot in charge are really not football people, then a quick £15m profit might be something they find interesting.Equally he has done absolutely everything you would want from a youth prospect and their loan deals. There should be a plan in place. Otherwise.....again.....whats the point..
As for the earlier claim about the Bundesliga and its quality, I agree to an extent, but if you dont want to be put into a position where you think the standards not helpful, then dont send him there, but let's be frank, he went at 18 and absolutely excelled regardless, so he is a product of the clubs decisions still, they have to be accountable for those decisions, his accountability was to go and do well, and he did that and some.
Maybe so, I am leaning towards a mindset that this is asset juggling if it happens.....again not thinking it will, but who the fcuk knows with our clubMaybe its the profit they are after? Its only double what we paid but if these lot in charge are really not football people, then a quick £15m profit might be something they find interesting.
Because Brighton are ultimately a stepping stone selling club, yes, they bargain hard and demand big fees, but in two or three years time, they would sell him to a truly elite club, whereas if he develops as we all hope, we won’t sell unless there is the proverbial gun to the club’s head.I would find this a bit odd from Vuskovic’s PoV. We signed him, we waited for him to arrive, we found him a good loan. At the same time, he did really well while we as a club did really badly.

I’d like to think that these people at the club have a bit of common sense. They know the fan base have high hopes, they know he is sought after and they know he has had 2 good loans, surely they are not that stupid are they?Maybe so, I am leaning towards a mindset that this is asset juggling if it happens.....again not thinking it will, but who the fcuk knows with our club
Them cry tosss hit different thoughIt's basically letting our hot new misses go swinging, while we have a cry toss in the toilet
Totally agree, and we should be doing everything we can to keep him and keep him happy.Absolutely, but there has to be a plan for youth integration otherwise it makes a mockery of the time and money we are investing in youth and scouting

Not however at the cost of another poor season by playing a youth player.
He has youth on his side, we can't afford another bottom half finish lol
Going further back when Stoke signed Begovic from Portsmouth we got £1m for it. Never understood how or whyDidn't we have this with Johnny Cardoso at Betis?
