Think he gets himself a bit lost as a 10. Not quite up there supporting and working around the striker, not quite able to find those pockets between the lines, not quite dropping deep to playmake.Nothing since May on Lucas!
Thought he was very good today - such class on the ball, mixed with powerful running. Not a no.10 in my book, but think he is already good enough to be the starting no.8 for us (rotating with Sarr).
Agree; he charges around and runs 50 yards left and 50 yards right and 50 yards back and forth but as he gets older he will realise he can jink 10 yards and find space, and pass the ball, not just run and run and run and run and then he'll be more effective.Think he gets himself a bit lost as a 10. Good minutes under the belt for his development...........we very good in patches
Absolutely. And a strong indication of how well our recruitment has been over the last two seasons. Gray and Bergvall, and now Kudus and Palhinha. No point talking about the whatcouldhavebeens like Eze and MGW (and Paz, and Hincapié supposedly) without mentioning the successes.Really liked his cameo against City. Just a handful of minutes, it was 2-0 and the game was starting to look won - but we all know how quickly that changes if they get a goal. And a fairly hectic and relatively high pressure situation to get subbed into.
Slotted straight in, no issues. Did his job defensively and could have created another goal.
Along with his start against Burnley looking that bona fide first team player we need him to be, that he showed last season he can be. But second season, new manager and all that, can be tricky. But he just keeps on Bergvalling.
How far he's come in a year...
He's so young, I am surprised they have dropped.
