Unbelievable night.
Freund nutmeged one of the youngsters and holtby collapsed in pieces in disbelief.

Emotional night for all, 36000 singing for the full 90 mins.
Fitting send off for the king of the lane.
 
So great to see so many old names involved, not just the big names but guys like Perry, Thelwell, Sullivan, etc. well done.

We really need Edgar Davids back involved with the club somehow. Even if just the bench Joe Jordan enforcer, headbutter role.

Monday is an odd night for a testimonial in keeping with the half hearted why they have gone about giving it to king two seasons after he retired, seemed like an afterthought.

Not like any of care about the cup final now either.
 
Davids' running show boat battle with Eriksen in the 1st half was great.
Freund and holtby knocking lumps out of each other and Howard Webb in the 2nd equally as good.
Too many highlights to recount.
One 90min highlight reel.
 
Reading the official site it does make it sound like Eriksen was enjoying the first half. A shame that Sandro read the Anderton-Sheringham corner routine. A goal from that would have been worthy of tonight. I read something about Kaboul carrying Davids??
 
Such a high note to end the season on...a send off fit for a King and one deserved by a legend!

The silky one touch play between Ginola, Berba and Teddy...Anderton can still pick a pass better than any of our current lot and Davids as lively as ever.

And Robbo reunited with the Park Lane!
 
The trio of Crouch Saha and Fox looked tasty.

Kaboul carrying Davids was brilliant. Howard Webb played his part. Berba was finally forgiven and he got a rendition of his song. Teddy ****ing loved scoring in front of us again.

And Ledley. Aaah man brings a tear to my eye.

Thought it would have done the current squad the world of good to know what real heroes have meant to us and how special nights at the lane are. What a great club
