Never followed or heard much about Trippier. Not sure what he will bring to the team apart from being another squad player.

Just like Wimmer, not at all excited by this signing ! In fact, I am yet to get excited by any of Pochettino's signings so far. I think we need to sign more established and experienced players to bring us to the next level. I guess this is what you get for having an inexperienced head coach. I think experienced managers would be more ambitious by trying to sign more well-known and experienced players instead.

Why? By all accounts, his spell at Middlesbrough was impressive enough.

I've never thought that he's particularly good at much. Physically he's neither quick, tall or strong which is a difficult starting point. Tidy enough on the ball, as you would expect from a winger who's been converted to a full-back but that isnt really enough.

Think he'll end up in the championship; no disgrace in that obviously and it shouldnt be expected that a high proportion from each age group make it at PL level

Would have to be under a new manager then. Pochettino doesn't play wingers who stay wide and run down the line.

As for Trippier, I haven't seen that much of him, but what he can add to the team is better delivery from the wide areas. He is a better crosser than Walker. He will probably be back-up when Walker is fit, though.

I thought Fredericks was bloddy quick, that's the impression I've got from the few cameos he's made in the first team.

I find it hard to believe that we cannot sign more experienced players in the mould of VDV, Vertonghen, Eriksen, Chadli, Modric and Berbatov. They were well established and well-known players when we bought them. I think it is pointless to buy those unknown players from small clubs like Wimmer, Trippier and Yedlin who will struggle at big clubs like Spurs.

I know him fairly well and he is about 6ft and very quick to the point of being one of the fastest at the club.

VdV is the only player in your list who was experienced when he joined, all of the rest fit with our policy of buying and developing promising players.

I remember when he got the cameo a few years back in one of the cups, Ferdinand was saying he was as fast as Walker. I too had hoped he would get a chance with us, but at this rate it's unlikely, unless Yedlin gets pushed further forward or is bombed out on loan somewhere. Either way the arrival of Trippier marks the end of one or even two of our current RB's.

He’s definitely not uninspiring in terms of his pashun and professionalism – wears his heart on his sleeve and seems willing to engage in what is expected by the fans. But being a massive crowd favourite at the Turf was also based on the fact he was a very, very good player for us – won numerous awards within the club and from the football league and I would say he was as big a reason for getting promoted to the PL as Danny Ings was.
The defensive side of his game has improved massively since Dyche came in, but his main asset is a right back is that he has been an unbelievable creative outlet for us – his assists stats are ridiculous for a right back. Obviously, in a team struggling in the PL, he hasn’t been able to play as freely this year but I have no doubts in a better team he will get that back. Kane should be able to thrive on the early ball into the box that he specialises in – Austin, Ings and Vokes all have.
I think he will need to up his game, but his commitment and energy have seen him do that for us so I would hope he can continue to develop with you. Another massive plus is that he rarely gets injured which gives consistency to the back line that perhaps you haven't had at right back for a while
He’s left us with not a bad word to be said from our fans which is very rare for a player these days of anonymous social media numbnuts and no doubt most Burnley fans will be keen to see him push on and be a success.

It is exciting because it is filmed in The New Black Box which Mitchell painted black so he can concentrate on typing out his algorithms on his PC.

I'll be happy as long as we sign a CM to replace Mason, a centre forward and an experienced CB.

He played 26 league games in 2013/14, hardly half the season.

EDIT: Injuries can account for loss of pace and lack of match sharpness, but I really don't believe positional play is affected too much, surely it is more down to instinct and intelligence?

The whole team struggled in 2013/14.

Walker has a tendency to use his pace to get him (and the team) out of situations but any player with his pace is going to do that. I think that there is a tendency to criticise players for what they are not rather than look at what they are good at. Walker is a very good attacking fullback who has improved defensively since he first broke through. I think that if he could regain his match fitness and sharpness he would be a really good fit in Poch's preferred system but I am very happy that we have signed Premier League ready cover.

I think his positional sense looks worse than it is because he uses his pace to his advantage which wrongly, imv, gets labelled as 'getting him out of trouble'
