You do see a player that is floundering in attack moved further back and excelling. But how often do you see a player that is tearing it up at AM be moved to a wingback or plain old RB/LB? It's usually the other way around (Bale).

One that I remember clearly. Makes me laugh. Joseph Yobo was a striker for Nigeria in 1999. He played in the U21 world cup the same one as Xavi and Ronaldinho. He was a RB by 2002 Japan Korea World cup.

Thought he was excellent tonight. I'm impressed with him eveytime he plays. Reads the game really well and comfortable on the ball.

Agree on Lamela and Foyth, certainly not for Gazzaniga. The bloke can save some shots, but is way too hesitant when the ball is crossed into the box.

Great performance and against a premier league side, no less. A proper ball-playing CB with excellent defensive presence. I wouldn't hesitate playing him in a back 3 alongside Harley and Toby. Now I know why Poch didn't loan him out. £12m well spent.

Worrying with the report the other week of Foyth potentially leaving because of the lack of progress he’s made. Hopefully that doesn’t turn out to be the case and perhaps he is given more game time if Toby does leave....
