Juan Foyth

I like(d) Rose because he's an aggressive presence on the wing and helps stretch play, is strong in 1v1 situations and has a good engine getting up and down the field. Davies is a good antithesis to that and fans love hin because he's "dependable" which means he's going to give you a 6/10 performance every game and never let you down but with that rarely do anything memorable to stir emotion - he's for people who think fullbacks should be seen and not heard. Stop! Hammer time but mine is correct

Rose is great for the reasons you correctly said!
Rose is not a popular character these day due to stories in the press and more sad and obvious reasons not unlike Sissoko on here!

Are you implying racism towards Rose/Sissoko? Wow, are you living in 1987? Surely not as that would show your bias more than anything, that would never enter my mind.
What about all the others like Defoe, King, Dembele, Ndombele etc all loved?

Davies had an exceptional season two seasons ago. Was IMO the best in the league IMO

Last season like trippier he played with injuries

Have you seen the Argentina games?

Saw the first one and a little of second, I'd say he was trying to play it safe the majority of the time (orders?)

Thing is I don't think Foyth is a naturally safe player, you stifle his contribution a bit if he sits .. but he needs the discipline of following team orders, not taking too many liberties.

Considering Poch looked like giving him a go at RB this season (until his injury in the final friendly) and now he looks to have been available for selection for quite a few weeks, I'm surprised he hasn't looked near a start for the first team.

The last thing we can afford to do is rush him back and him to get injured again as a result. I think Lo Celso and Sessegnon and Foyth need to be brought into the team gradually when we're convinced that they are fully recovered.

I took a look at Foyth's defending for the 2 big Red Star chances, in particular with reference to Action Hero Danny Rose.

One incident is after 2 mins, one after about 3 mins

For the first one, Dier goes for the header but loses out, so he is 30 yards ahead of play. Foyth makes the first tackle, gets up and goes for another block tackle, but the ball still squirts into the path of the striker. Meanwhile Dier has made up the distance and puts the guy under pressure. Meanwhile Danny Rose just walks slowly towards the action, about as invigorated as a child going to double maths.

For the second one, Rose just stands and watches as Red Star get in on his side, meanwhile Foyth runs 30 yards and slides in to make the forward miss onto the post, then Dier hacks it away.
