Jose Mourinho

You're not, he is box office and he's just a pantomime villain. Those in football both players and managers speak about what a good guy he is and I've seen him enough times outside of the day to day football environment to see this - I think he just enjoys being mischievous half the time...

The charm is gone though, he is a shadow of the charisma he once had.

The problem with the "show me a good loser, I'll show you a loser" concept is when people like Jose, Conte, Klopp, Pep don't/stop winning, they just aren't fudging pleasant/likable people ..

I do understand those who don't like him. He is very marmite. But he's one of the few people in football I've met in person and he was really charming to my mate's kids. Plus the way he speaks about Wenger is always entertaining...

Gouging people in the eye, talking in a disgusting way to a female physio, loads of stuff he's done that goes way beyond the pantomine villian and the times he's charming doesn't make up for it.

I think everyone is unpleasant on a bad day.

Those moments will absolutely sway opinions, and rightly so. A positive experience like that should be noted for sure. I've met Ferguson a couple of times, spent decent time with him, and he was great (including buying the drinks, refused to let us get them in).

People fundamentally being bricky humans doesn't mean every interaction is that way.
