Mate, neither Joe Lewis or Levy is looking to sell, they could have done the rebuild for half the price (without the are rejuvenation, train station, additional details) and sold out for not much less asking price. You don't go all out on a flip, you manage the cost to the smallest margin, something we absolutely didn't do.

Nor would they pay off Poch and pay Jose the second highest salary in the league in attempt to raise the selling price?

The only way you can believe that is if you believe Levy is brick with money, and I don't think anyone in the world would buy that theory.

Oh ffs Levy never does business in January. Why would he start now?
Mourinho was in no position to come and demand stuff.
The last job he was linked to was Lyon.
It isn't 2005 anymore.
 
Interesting whether Jose will give KWP and even Aurier a chance now. They have 6 weeks really and if one or more of them don’t step up, we’ll probably need to shuffle someone out to raise funds for a new right back.

I’m also intrigued by what will happen with Hugo. He’s been quoted previously saying he’s linked to Spurs because of Poch. I do wonder if Jose will tolerate some of Hugo’s more ‘extravagant’ moments anyway, so there might be a new keeper needed one way or the other. Gazza has done well, so it might be time to shuffle there. (Although I’d be happy for Hugo to be onboard with the change tbh and think he offers a lot to the squad in general - being the current World Cup winning captain)

Above not withstanding, what is going to happen now with the 3 Ajax lads!!! I cannot wait on that one!!

I’m hoping he walked in, slapped his 25 winners medals on the table, and went “right lads, how’d ya fancy a slice of these apples then?!!!”

We got to the Champions League final last year with a weaker squad than this one, but lost as we had no winners ‘meteorology’.

We’ve fixed that now. So go win it again this year big man.

Huge respect for Poch and all he has done for the club, and top gent. That decision has now been made and we have parted ways. I will follow him and his career and wish him all the very best ..unless he does anything silly....
As for Jose, now the decision on Poch has been made, I’m pleased he’s the guy and was my first choice for all the obvious reasons. For me, these out way the risks, again, all been discussed and heavily debated already.
He looks as happy as fck, and I was genuinely concerned the filth down the road would snap him up.

Two signings would be a lot of business for January. I still think that the priority will be moving players on.

Discussions centred around the present squad, the style of play Mourinho would adopt and potential transfer budgets. We understand while Jose believes the squad is strong, it is under-achieving and has the potential to be successful. Funds will be made available if deemed necessary.

Levy recently told the Trust that was indeed the case. We still needs Outs before we can have more Ins.
 
Read an opinion online that figured Sanchez, Aurier & Eriksen would be most likely not to see game time with Jose.
