Is there a difference?
I'd hope so, either that or I have led a very sheltered life!
Is there a difference?
It's different now to Paratici or even previous dof roles - we have a manager who is hands on with transfers and has the final say. The role of dof thus becomes one of finding 3 or 4 of the type of player the manager wants and then determining which will be signed based on finance, suitability and how likely the club is to want to sell them.
He's going to spend a lot of time on youth I reckon as that is where Ange really excels.

.Lange seems very much to be a data guy. Good to have the combination of someone like that and Paratici if he stays with us and a head scout/scouting team.
It's Tuesday.Honestly? I can't remember what point I was trying to make. My 2 year old is keeping me up every night and I'm only vaguely aware of what day it is.
He was supposedly at Spurs when we signed Son & Toby and was at Leicester when they brought in Kante & Mahrez
Steve Walsh went to Everton and had a mareSteve Walsh is the one usually credited with finding the best Leicester signings. Arsenal thought it was someone else and took him off Leicester.

I think in the world of scouting luck has a huge role to play…
The idea that one person is responsible for identifying and signing a player in modern in football is absurd.
