Absolute adonis, beast as well as a bit of a goalscorer too. Signing of summer so far (completely unbiased view from a Spurs fan).

(Came close to scoring a header vs Eintracht too, but keeper made a decent save down low.)

Undeservedly maligned or not, this would sorta suggest there's a bit more to his game than just being a 'destroyer'?

The way he was played in double pivot, often receiving the ball facing our goal with an opposition player up his arse is just one more example of how the 4-2-3-1 system just does not suit the players we currently have.

As in any walk of life, put people in a position where they can succeed instead of asking them to do things they weren’t hired for, and you will see better results.”

Would personally keep Palhinha over Bentancur in the summer. A shame but the injuries seem to have caught up with him.

I think Palinha’s brilliant, arguably our player of the season. I’d Defo buy him. He’s an all out DM, we’ve been crying out for that player for a while. Not his job to provide the creativity, the balance and style of football around him is off, that’s not on JP.
