"It's fair to say it's not looking promising."
I thought that after we capitulated after taking a two goal lead at Brighton.

Pep was apparently after him when we got him wasn't he? There was talk at the time they would've gone in harder for him but they had already splashed out on their other signings that summer...Bit of an odd rumour about City being willing to bid 65M for him
ok then we keep grey on until we go behind. though i doubt we are going to outscore them with the current midfield of sarr, benta and bissBut we may need to score a goal to get through
he's definitely more defensive minded now as seen in the west ham game. Not quite sure what Gray can do in midfield. Done extremely well at cb, not so great at rb. Only clips I've seen him play in midfield were for Leeds v Chelsea and he looked very accomplished passing and running with the ball. Think Ange will go with Bentancur and Bissouma with Kulu in front of them.
IndeedGoing to miss Maddison & Bergvall in the Europa League
I know what you're saying but I think it is imperative to keep Biss away from too much 'deep' responsibility. For me, those are the areas his brain farts could be costly. Not sure any specific coaching will be/can be done in time. We are where we are - 90 mins from a Final! We'll lose the game if we play with an 8. A double pivot is the only way we are progressing. Bent and Biss pretty much managed that in the first leg, but it needs clearer coaching.
Unless he is really needed I wouldn't risk him on the plastic pitch.
Keep him for the final, hopefully.
Him and Bergvall being out is a major blow. Been critical of him this season but he was hitting some good form in the last few weeks. Really need Kulu to rediscover his form before the final if we get there.UPDATE | MADDISON RULED OUT FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed James Maddison will miss the rest of the campaign.
The midfielder was forced off with a knee problem midway through the second half of our Europa League first leg win over Bodo/Glimt last week.
Scorer of our second goal in that game, Madders was sent for a scan after the win over the Norwegian side to assess the extent of the injury but it has now been confirmed by our Head Coach that the problem is significant enough to keep him out of action for the rest of the season.
"Unfortunately Madders last week hurt his knee and it looks like he's got an issue there," Ange explained. "That'll keep him out for the rest of the season which is disappointing... disappointing for him, more than anything because he's been important for us, particularly this latter part of the year and particularly in Europe - he's been a catalyst for a lot of our good stuff.
"It's really disappointing for him but it has been a constant of our season to deal with things like this and it's just another one we need to overcome."
Indeed. Big blow, I too have been critical but only because I know how good he can be for us, and when he's on it the whole team play well - just frustrating he has been inconsistent and has been his whole career which is why he hasn't got the international recognition he perhaps could have.Him and Bergvall being out is a major blow.
