Interim manager thread 2.0

He wouldn't take the job IMO.
He would be an idiot to. I hope he doesn't get it. I hope Poch doesn't come back. Too many fans would rather someone who just wants the pay check and has won trophies cos apparently that's been a fantastic and successful approach for us recently.

Mason had WBA punching well above their weight. They've ranked since he left.

In terms of player respect, I'd say Frank and Tudor are pretty tough. We really can't be trying the touch love big personality guy again. We need a motivator.

I'd say De Zerbi now but I find him odious

We need to act with extreme boldness now.

Langhe and Vinai (and TF) all seem to be too timid for the task. Take Langhe’s comments about the Jan window…”there weren’t many players available” and “we tried for Semenyo but he chose City instead of us”. This role requires getting the job done, not “trying our best but unfortunately we came up short”.

If Poch is the guy, then get it done now regardless of what it takes. That’s how winners operate.

That's a bit of a stretch. They were 18th when he was sacked and on a terrible run of form, not sure I'd call it punching well above their weight....

No doubt Redknapp returning would be a massive gamble given his age and time out of the game. In some ways symptomatic that he's even being discussed. But at the same time can understand it, desperate times.

While I definitely am quite a long way off trusting the current people in charge of this football club making the right call it's also a decision I don't envy them having to make right now. A lot of uncertainty, nothing like a clear right answer, big stakes.
One positive i see in bringing old Harry back is we wont see any more of this passing out from the keeper brick.
We must be the most inept team on the planet at it. We are at the stage where the keeper must hoof it long every time. Out of hand or off the ground. Hope for flick ons from Richy and Solanke and get Tel playing the runner.
At least the defense wont stuff up as much.
I cant think of many occasions apart from City away where we ve actually looked like a half decent passing side. Our players cant pass wind properly.
