Ingerlund

I guess he's decided on how he wants to play, with natural wide players rather than surplus #10s, and can't accommodate Bellingham, Rogers, Foden and Palmer. It opens him up to obvious criticism if England flop, but he'll get that anyway, so he might as well do it his way.

Burn and Henderson seem wasted selections. Would be better to gamble on players who can make something happen (e.g. Gibbs White).

Agree on Burn but not Henderson. If your 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go and Rice goes down, I’m brining on the guy that’s captained a team to win the Prem & European Cup and player in 6 major tournements over a Mainoo/Wharton.

At least we have a manager who now picks the team he wants and thinks can win in his style, rather than in the past picking on club and reputation
Yeah, he's admitted he hasn't picked the 26 most talented footballers. Armchair fans don't/cant appreciate things not seen on the football pitch such as squad chemistry that are important factors for tournament football.

I don't ever recall there being an England squad announced that didn't have a load of people complaining about who hasn't picked - And let's be honest, it's not like he's left prime Maldini and R9 at home....
