Imagine if we could build a side for the world cup something like:

‐------------------Henderson
Livramento-Branthwaite-Guehi-Spence
-----------------Gray----Wharton
-----Palmer‐-----Bellingham-----Foden
‐---‐-------------------Delap

Looks like we've got another clueless chump in charge though. Milner and Welbeck (sorry i mean Henderson and Rashford) indeed!
Yep, The u21 squad looks amazing at the min

No way would I be having Jordan Henderson in goal though...:D

Tbf there is zero comparison between Welbeck and Rashford, save for the fact both played for Manure.
Welbeck was FAR more effective and selfless for the team imo.

I don't get the Rashford call up at all. He did sod all for the first half of a season and since joining Villa he's had 9 appearances (Mostly from the bench) and 0 goals! Yet somehow he deserves a place in this squad. Very strange.

Some very strange decisions indeed. I thought Tuchel was a 60% possession man. Rashford won't give him that.

I hope Tuchel finds a true leader to wear the armband as well. Rice or Bellingham for me. If he doesn't do it now, it will have to be when Kane retires from international football. Great player, but not a great England captain like we had with Becks and JT.

I agree about the leadership issue, like controlling midfield players we don't have many English players filling that role in PL.

Tuchel also saying there is not much cover on the left side
Whilst totally ignoring Spence who has played amazing there and was MoM in 2 of the games Tuchel watched him play there

lol - going back a couple of decades, I'd have argued with you over this. We used to have to see players have a pretty long stint of playing well in their first teams before getting called up and get a cap. That cap was sacred. Now we throw caps around as if they mean nothing. You're called up after a few games and then discarded as quickly as you're selected.

You certainly wouldn't be conceding B'mouth's first goal and getting a call up like Spence did last weekend. Some of his defending in that game was a horror show, even though he's very easy on the eye going forward.
