42 England goals for Rooney now. Not bad at all.
He's going to end up the most capped player and the highest goalscorer. But he'll still more than likely get loads of stick when he retires. Don't get me wrong, he hasn't been good enough in tournaments, but he gets more stick than the rest of the "golden generation" got.

Looking forward to another 10/10 in qualifying followed by a 0-2-1 record in the group stages. Inspired decision by the FA to get Hodgson in it really was.
Did what we had to do tonight no more.
Would you guys agree that Townsend gets much more space on the Wembley pitch and therefore can use his pace more? I find at WHL the pitch is one of the smallest and he always comes inside rather than getting to the bi-line. I know this is San Marino but also taking into account last season he looks so much more threating for England than for Spurs.

The question is did Dier lose his starting position in the centre of the U21 defence after moving to us, or was it due to the injury he had back in August?
Thought Dier was very positive. Many of his passes didn't stick, but he got some momentum going down the right. He also made one beast of a tackle after he's was caught out of position. He loves playing football. Positive and should have a place in our first team for years to come.
Great tackle (hmmm... careful).
