For more fun facts Google wet bulb temperature. That's the one you really have to worry about.

Just to flesh it out. Humidity reduces the max temperature at which you can survive. So at 100% humidity (which does happen), you will actually die at about 35 C. Hot but not that hot.

i've lived in california for the last 18 years and the last 10 years have been crazy wildfires burning thousands of acres every year, people who have lived here their whole lives are dismayed and say this just didnt happen 10+/20 years ago

They need to create fire breaks of sufficient distance e.g. 300 yards or 900 yards between trees. Surely?
 
We’ve got high pressure trapped over the U.K. for a few weeks let’s enjoy a few days sunshine over the bank holiday and beyond.
