Hugo Lloris

Why even post that?
negative predictions shouldn't be muzzled on the basis of "the glass is half full".

Most folks think it's a given that we'll sign a top first team keeper in the summer, why not dispell that fantasy with some realism? Maybe Forster can challenge Lloris for the first team spot?

I predict he's going to be great again under the new manager, and will get a contract extension in the summer

Hugo had his best spell with us in last 4 years when he came back from the elbow injury.

As his errors often seem mental, it's quite possible that he will have a resurgence of sorts having been on a forced break (cleared mental fatigue).

That said, doesn't change our need for a long term successor, and hopefully transitioning him in a way that allows the fans to say goodbye properly.

Got to admit that I'm a bit taken back by the negativity towards Hugo. Yes he has his not-so-good moments, but more than makes up for it in what he does well. I'm pretty sure that he's a net positive, faults and all, and still one of the best keepers we could hope to get. Harry Kane squanders more than one chance a game either by scuffing it or by not passing when he should but few would argue that the sum of his contribution is very positive indeed. Of course we should look to replace with his age in mind, but there are more urgent positions to fix in our somewhat disjointed squad than Hugo, if you ask me.
He was a net positive until a couple of years ago, he's far from it now. You've got to separate what he was previous to the last couple of seasons and what he is now and going forward. He was a really good keeper and now, unfortunately, he is nowhere near good enough. There's no place in football for sentimentality if you want to be competing at the top, he needs replacing.

More reports that Caoimhin Kelleher is leaving Liverpool in the summer, well worth considering as Hugo’s replacement

Yeah, can't get a start in front of one of the top goalkeepers in the world. Seriously, do you even watch football or just spend your day trolling?
Still only 24 as well, young for a keeper.

poor shot stopper, poor angle judgement, poor control of his defence, poor concentration

I absolutely detest the Dippers but Alisson is one of the best in the business. Without him this year, they'd be where people think we'd be without Kane.

But all keepers, just like all players, make howlers, its amplified with keepers because they are last man.
When good keepers fudge up they tend to really fudge up.
