Hugo Lloris

I’ve only seen highlights of yesterday, there were mistakes in the build up too, but he could have done better with all three goals imo.

I think he is decent but to win things you need a bloody great gk. Thanks for the service lloris, but it's time to step aside. Should have gone for Henderson in the summer

I don’t want to see another season of Hugo after this one. He is clearly on the decline, he has served us brilliantly and deserves to go out whilst his stock is still relatively high. Brentford keeper or similar standard would be fine, would rather not Pickford….

Maybe based on previous seasons but he has been excellent for everton this season and is englands best gk. Which frees up a non hg spot. Only 28 aswell.

Just my opinion, but I don’t think he is better, I’ve never been that impressed with him, he makes saves look harder than they were at times.
It's not just about saves, which he's at least equal to Pickford on. He's probably the best keeper in the league on crosses and his distribution is really good.
I don't remember any real blunders from him, but could be wrong on that. On top of that he's only 24 and will improve.

After a good start to the season I think he's been getting pelters last month or so

I dont fancy any of the PL options to be honest.

Pope seems to be doing very well at Saudi Sportswashing Machine.... Though we're not going to be signing a first choice player from Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

The best keepers we have soon lately have all come from outside the prem
There isn’t currently an outstanding HG talent so I’d suggest we look abroad
Kelleher, Bazunu and Sanchez are all very good young home grown keepers. Whether we have a chance of getting any, especially Kelleher is another question.

All 3 could be anything and may well develop
I’d argue they all need time at a lower level club which Sanchez and Bazunu are getting
I wouldn’t take the gamble personally

I'd disagree on Sanchez, he's ready now. Unless we can get a really top class keeper I'd rather we get a younger keeper that still has room to grow rather than settle for the likes of Pickford that has flaws in his game.

Keepers mistakes cost points more than any other position
I like Sanchez
But for the less money you could get Costa from Porto or Mamardashvili who both look like they are the next top keepers globally

Just thinking what he's got a real chance to do - no one in the history of the game has ever lifted the WC twice

  • 1930 – Jose Nasazzi (Uruguay)
  • 1934 – Gianpiero Combi (Italy)
  • 1938 – Giuseppe Meazza (Italy)
  • 1950 – Obdulio Varela (Uruguay)
  • 1954 – Fritz Walter (West Germany)

  • 1966 – Bobby Moore (England)
  • 1970 – Carlos Alberto (Brazil)
  • 1974 – Franz Beckenbauer (West Germany)

I think its very likely one spurs player will win the trophy, hugo, harry, Richarlison or romero. The last two not as captain of course, but still not a bad achievement.

Imagine a Richarlison vs Lloris final seconds one-on-one to decide the final!

IIRC correctly weren't the four semi-final captains in 2018 Lloris, Kane, Vertonghen and Modric?
