Me making any judgement on him beyond he’s been stupid/naive at the moment. What do you mean about " making any judgement"? do you mean about his punishment by the club?

Okay I give up.But the discussion isn't around what he will be charged with or the punishment the court will issue. It is about what the club will (should) do in response to something he has admitted.

Don't sell yourself short.Hmm...I’m the least Daily Mail reading type guy ever.
EIf your kid is done for drink driving, do you:
A) Disown them?
B) Write them out of your will?
C) Kick them out the house?
D) Cancel badminton on Tuesdays.
E) Ask them if they realise what they have done is wrong, ask if there is a deeper problem, teach them why it is not acceptable, support them, and let the courts serve their punishment?
He has broke the law and has admitted to it. There is no way breaking the law can be measured ' to what extent". As i said sacking him or dropping him is a over reaction though.
Close, the answer is D.
Isn’t that exactly what happens though with sentencing? In this instance the more over the limit he is, the more severe his punishment will be - eg in length of ban, custodial sentence etc.

I think I’ve seen one post saying he should be stripped of the captaincy.
Usually it’s the exact point I start texting ex’s.Just curious, but is there a certain point where you go from having an alcoholic drink to being drunk?
Lots of people have said that he should lose the captaincy in this thread
And its not an unreasonable point to make. I don’t think if someone is saying that, it makes them hysterical or going too far. It’s an entirely reasonable thought process given he is supposed to set an example. Some people seem to be suggesting we just sweep it away once he’s served his weekly fine and let the law take care of him otherwise, but I think ignores the fact he is supposed to be THE standard bearer for our club. Doesn’t mean we should sell him and never play him again, and I know he’s apologised, but I think it’s beyond stupid.

Nor do I, I was just responding to you saying few people hold this view on here, I think that it is close to being the consensus.
