Hugo Lloris

Are there any quotes from Hugo saying this because I can't find any? I've seen the Verts ones but nothing from Hugo (although a few on here have stated he has said this).

It's a gg thing mate, I don't get it either. Sell Lloris, sell Vertonghen, sell Lamela but don't dare suggest we get rid of Dawson or Lennon.

You've just got it spot on.

This is the problem at this club. Good players leave, and **** players stay.

Fans have a part to play in the sad way this club has turned, cheering on **** players because they like them even though they are the ****test around.

How will Atletico or Real bid for him when each club is savaged by debts? Surely clubs shouldn't be able to continue with debts as large as those of the two clubs..

Hmm. If we do allow him onto the market, we're definitely going to be looking for a record fee for a goalkeeper, which rules Atletico out. Real maybe, but they'd have to shift one of Casillas/Lopez first, which should be a warning sign for us that they're preparing to swoop.

I'd be okay with 15 - 20 million quid plus Morata, honestly. If Morata wants to come, of course.

Don't let him leave, for GHod's sake, let the defenders leave ! Who the hell we gonna replace him with, Gomes has already gone doncha know ???

Logically, if we receive a 30 million plus offer from Madrid (world record for a goalkeeper), he's off. We'd have no argument against an occurrence like that. 'We haven't received an offer that suits our valuation of you yet.' 'Bull****te, zey are offering trente million pounds, I am, 'ow you say, off to Spain mate!' 'We're not letting you go, you're invaluable.' 'I know how to do ze Bale tantrum now, it's, 'ow you say, 'my boyhood club', so let me leave!' 'Give us one more season.' 'Of transitionne? I am not sticking around to watch zis Pochy man lead us to sixth again, see you mon ami!'

thing is, I can accept a world record fee (not happy, but accept the **** football economics we live in) .. but anything less, we need to say **** off ..

I'm still stunned people think Lloris will be easy to replace, we had decades of dross keepers ...

Oh, absolutely. Anything less than a world record fee should rightly be met with disdain: he's probably the best keeper we've had in the modern era. However, while he is the best option we can realistically have at GK right now, there are others out there that, while not as good as Hugo, would probably be good enough for us should we decide to move for them. And they'd be cheaper than the price we're probably expecting for Hugo as well: Hart, Krul, Leno, Reina, Consigli et al wouldn't cost the world, and would probably be very good: better than Gomes, not as good as Lloris, but good enough to sustain a CL tilt.

The whole artificial bubble that Real Madrid exist in kills football. I'm confident that the FFP sanctions will never be imposed on Real Madrid...why? Because they're one of the untouchables. Real Madrid appear to continue to throw money at players with little regard as to the economic business of the club.

I'd love us to go out and buy all these players and think 'screw the debts, we'll never repay them anyway' but we live in the real (pun unintended) World.

For that reason, amongst others, I can't face Lloris moving to Real Madrid, that would represent the forward motion of the dagger in to my footballing passion.

Why be passionate about a game when it's clear that not all participants are playing by the same rules? Would be akin to playing Snakes & Ladders against someone who used their ten sided dice against your traditional six sided one.

I don't want to see Lloris leave either. He's the best all round keeper that we've had in a LONG time.

Real have a high enough revenue that they can probably spend £100m per year without needing to borrow at least. That's without any incomings.

i know this will cause some controversy here but i'm happy for us to be setting world record prices for player sales.

its the natural order of things for now. we need to capitalize on such events to strengthen the team. better us than say the scum getting a windfall.

our time will come, but not just now. get the new stadium done, get a balanced team with sufficient quality in depth. then we can mount a sustainable run at the CL.

I wonder whether the change of goalkeeping coach is indicative of other changes between the sticks. I hope Hugo stays but if we sell him for a world record few there are several other PL keepers around who can do the job.

Always been a bit meh about Lloris in terms of a club coming and taking him couldn't care less, especially when his contract is running down, mainly because I prefer the keeper to be 6ft4 and dominant. Van der Saar is my all time fav keeper. Neuer is easily the current best.

Hugo Lloris is without doubt in the top5 goalkeepers on the planet at the moment, and unless we sign anyone else in that top 5, we are heading backwards on the pitch for what ever we are doing off the pitch.

I believe Hugo will sign a new deal, as will Jan, and both will be spurs players next season.

It would not shock me to see Lloris our team captain next season either.

PSG hit with FFP and signed €48m Luiz, want Pogba, Hazard and have a half decent keeper already. Real will not sign Lloris, its lazy Journolism and who else can afford him as we will want £25m.
