I would, one day, love to move back and live in the countryside...
did it when the first kid came along, no regrets at all, absolutely love it, don't miss living in London at all
I would, one day, love to move back and live in the countryside...
I joined a US Multinational IT company straight out of college. My first and only job!!! Haha
They were looking for a young guy who was willing to work anywhere in the world and did not have any "baggage" (wife, kids, pets etc.)
Spent most of my life working around the world. Apart from the US I worked in England, Scotland, Germany, Finland, Cyprus, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and many
countries in Africa.
During my travels met my wife an Irish/Welsh international teacher.
At age 57, we decided to take early retirement ( we had saved a lot of money, kids had completed Uni in the US )
Bought a house in Orlando. Didn't like it in the US. Then spent 2 years looking for our dream retirement destination.
Visited and stayed a few months in Dubai, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia,Australia before finally settling for Kenya.
Bought a one acre beach plot north of Mombasa, Built our villa to our liking and now settled here.
With a lot of traveling, and living in very different countries, we have been exposed to different cultures, food and people.
Therefore, I am not patriotic to ANY country or culture.
Just Spurs, Tusker lager & good food.

That's because you've forgotten about the driving rain, punctuated by interminable drizzle, fog, mist, showers, hail and horizontal rain.I would, one day, love to move back and live in the countryside...
Got no love for this brickehole of a country whatsoever.
If my family and friends didn't live here then neither would I.
I'd quite like a place on the Amalfi Coast. If I couldn't work remotely and had to be in a city I'd probably choose Paris.Out of interest where would you choose to live, if you could guarantee your friends and family would all follow you?
And why?
