i dont want harry to leave. id be devasted, i really would. spurs is the best thing thats happened to him and he is the best we've had for...?
 
Has Gutter Boy been on since the verdict? Hope he hasn't done anything silly.
Sacked for poor performance is looking extremely unlikely.
Found not guilty so not facing jailtime.
Looks like GB is clinging on to the final option of the FA poaching Harry.

In fact, wasn't one of GB's (and possibly other posters) main reasons for disliking Harry his dodgy character and shady past? I'm sure the word "crook" was used. Be interesting to see if that opinion has changed after today's verdict.

sounds like a BIG burden has been lifted. and i didn't know it has been going on for 5 years!
 
Great news for us and the team, but when he said he'd never forget the fans singing his name at the wigan game, you could interpret that to mean, he'd go on and take that memory with him if he get's asked, and accepts, the England job. Hope I'm wrong.

did you know JJetset (I'm not quite sure of his name, but I'm referring to the spookily accurate ITK bloke from the January window) called this as well? I distinctly remember him mentioning how happy Harry had been after that game, and him telling us to keep on doing it, seeing as Harry really appreciated it. Spooky.
 
I meant, of course, to reply to papaspur's post from ESPN, specifically the bit about Harry's heartfelt thanks to the supporters for cheering him on during the Wigan game.
 
Just saying that he got more predictions right that most ITKs, and he also confirmed how much Harry wanted to thank the supporters after the Wigan game ages before today. So he's got more right than most.

I know, I know, I'm just setting myself up for a fall...but ITKs! So addictive!

You could look at it any way you want.

But do people really think Harry has given the England job a seconds thought these last few weeks? Let alone today? Let alone in his first interview/press conference on the Court steps, 2 minutes after being cleared?

It was just an heartfelt speech. Honest, with no hidden messages of undying loyalty to Spurs, or that he will leave......imo
 
I hope he doesn't leave. Would be a bad move for him and us but if he wants it then Ill be glad we had him here and will always be a legend to me...

and I will say it now that includes if he goes to Arsenal one day


If he gets a rendition of 'I love Harry Redknapp' at the weekend, I will well up

I would like to think now that certain people within the HMRC and the CPS will be sacked for the gross negligence in brining this case at a cost of over ?ú8m to the taxpayer for essentially less than 1% of that sum outstanding in tax. Criminal waste of time and money but I won't hold my breath in seeing any action being taken.

As for all the fans of other clubs who were waiting and hoping for the opposite outcome in order to see Redknapp potentially jailed and our season derailed, there is one thing to say - You can now go back whence you came, back under your rocks in East London, under the Boleyn and back to your shanty if you are a City or Liverpool fan.
 
Harry is f#cking wonderfull, but if he goes, he goes.

He's made no secret about England, and the way some of our fans have treated him since day one, I could hardly expect him to feel like WHL is a place he could never leave.....

However, the fear of Spurs fans, and the tedious excitement of other fans at the prospect is quite baffling.

Do people honestly believe Levy wont get someone decent in? And that with Harry's departure, all this progress ceases to be?

Also in agreement here with Indospurs... I'm still waiting on that big signing from Harry. But what a great manager he has been, so I am thankful for the time that he has been here and he really did sound emotional/on the verge of his voice cracking.
 
Great news for us however makes it more likely that he'll be England manager by the start of next season. Hopefully this will be sorted out before the European Champs rather than us lose our manager in late July or August and then have our transfer window screwed up
 
Harry will not have been thnking at all about the England job. If it does come his way I am sure it will be a difficult decision, but if he does decide he wants it I would not begrudge him at all. He has been an incredible success at Spurs, and quite frankly I agree with totman in that he has not been loved as much as he should have. I hope fans recify that over coming weeks to show Harry just how much admiration we have for him, and that we have not forgotten where we were when he arrived. Replacing him would be difficult, we have had enough managers to show just how difficult success is to achieve. But the project is not yet complete, and so long as we keep this group of players together we can attract a new manager to continue the work Harry has done. Whether or not Harry stays or goes I for one truly believe he should be regarded as one of our finest managers.
