Harry Winks

Even Skipp with Ndombele or Lo Celso. For all his individual performances, Hojberg has never really formed an effective partnership, which may be to do with his style as much as the options we've tried alongside him
I think there is something to this. He's a bit of a headless chicken, charging around all over the place. He's got great workrate and good attitude but his positional discipline is poor. I noticed in the 2nd half he seemed to be tasked with more of a seek and destroy role which seemed to suit the team better than him attempting to be disciplined but not.

Can we just move winks on and lock the thread ... i just dont see a player in him. Pochettino called hi Xavi ... ill call Benteke Zlatan.

His positional discipline (more like lack of) was one key reason we lost to Arsenal.

I have to agree. He is probably hoping under Conte maybe he can get back in. He is a decent player but nothing special. Its his time to go to Norwich etc. With Skipp and Hojberg we have a decent pair but hoping we sign someone else in Jan and then Sarr to come over in the summer.

Great game today. I dump on him regularly and frequently, but I'd like to acknowledge that - he was phenomenally good, mostly because, for the first time in three-odd years, he actually played penetrating passes *forward*. And he showed how good he was at doing that, pinging it perfectly to the wings and into the spaces for onrushing players time and again.

Well done, Harry Winks - keep it up, son.
