Meanwhile, a more credible source, Thee Arfletic, must have a better set of ears than the Melee. Kane and other bumpf from today's musings:
"Tottenham Hotspur expect Harry Kane to return to first-team group training on Thursday following his period of isolation at the club’s player accommodation base, The Lodge. Kane, 28, is currently observing a five-day quarantine at Tottenham’s training ground after his holiday in the Bahamas following Euro 2020.
Thee Arfletic understands Spurs plan to reintegrate Kane into group training on Thursday, however it is unclear if the England captain will feature in the club’s opening game of the new Premier League season, at home to reigning champions Emirates Marketing Project.
Kane failed to report for pre-season fitness tests last week but denied refusing to train in a statement after criticism from Tottenham supporters.
Peep Guardiola confirmed last week that Emirates Marketing Project want to follow the £100 million British‑record transfer of Jack Grealish by signing Kane. But Tottenham rejected an opening bid worth £100 million and Guardiola admitted the deal is “finished” should the Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, refuse to negotiate.
Meanwhile, Tottenham’s new £42.5 million signing Cristian Romero is training on his own as he continues his recovery from a knee injury. Romero became Tottenham’s third signing of the summer last week, after the arrivals of Pierluigi Gollini and Bryan Gil.
The 23-year-old, who was voted the best defender in Serie A last season, arrived in north London with a knee injury. Sources say Romero is already back out on the training pitch, however, raising hopes of a fast recovery.
20-year-old Gil, who was signed from Seville for £21.6 million with Erik Lamela moving the other way, is due to arrive at Hotspur Way on Tuesday. Gil played at this summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo, winning a silver medal with the Spanish national team."
