Harry Kane MBE

Doesn't mean much if his position is "I'm refusing to play or train until you sell me to City" :D

yeah I’d say refusing to turn up for training (remember he was rumoured to have said this is what he would do whilst with England so there are reasons to believe that’s what he is doing) is the equivalent of laying down the gauntlet.

Modrics gentlemans agreement was honoured. We sold him to madrid. Harry's will be honoured if a club matches our asking price. We won't sell him for less.

If someone says to you i'm interested in buying your house. You tell them that kids are still in school but when they finish you get first offer. Then they offer you less than market value. You saying no is not reneging on the deal or breaking a gentlemans agreement. It's you not getting mugged off.
This is what I was talking about:

The same people will be cheering him on if he's still here in Sept

and if these sort of antics make Levy think that he's better of shot of Harry and therefore lowers his asking price, it shoots us in the foot

Haha that's about as genuine as rSol's guarantee that "I'm staying".

Actually funny if true. All I did was not turn up to training with the first game of the season approaching quickly. While apparently giving no indication of when to return.

So overblown, it's just a form of communication.

Quite happy to see back peddling, don't get me wrong, we need his quality, his goals. But the way he's handled this will not be forgotten.

Not sure if it has been noticed but Gary Neville is very chirpy about the situation in many outlets:

Speaking to Sky Sports , he said: “If Harry Kane was meant to report to pre-season training with Tottenham on Monday, then he should've come back. You can never advocate any player not turning up for training - it's as simple as that.

"You've got to turn up and you've got to do your job. However, I've worked with Harry and I can't think of a more professional footballer that I've ever seen”.

He was the one who started all of this through his interview. Typical British media, throws the grenade in the room then stands by and watches. Same with Sky Sports and TalkSport - They have helped facilitate this.
