Harry Kane MBE

Do the math mate - bvb have virtually secured CL football again which was a requirement to prevent haaland moving this summer and he will now wait for real madrid next summer whilst mbappe joins them this summer.

Now city have obviously turned to kane and have got his reps to do this latest leak. They did the same game with walker. Plus they know there is zero chance of chelsea (that club wouldnt even be so stupid to bother enquiring) so are throwing the name in to make a city transfer more palatable to us idiots.

I see what game is being played here and I say to these people go fudge yourselves hard and proper

Ok

But what’s the realistic alternative if we assume that Kane wants to stay in the EPL to beat all the records.

At the end of the day are probably the only ones who could afford him and I see this as the first volley in the negotiations that will probably last all summer.

Personally think he has earned the right to move this summer and I’d rather he go to City than Liverpool, ManU or any of the London clubs

Hence the ‘could have’ and ‘maybe’. I feel the fact I said all this when JM was appointed gives me some sort of permission to post these what ifs!

Not specific to this post but the general point you were making...

I think for Spurs to keep Kane long term we needed to be top 4 minimum, and looking up towards challenging for big honors - which is where we were for a good while, this then began to waver during our second season at Wembley and then we saw further regression in our last 2 seasons, which has seen us drop out of the CL altogether with a job on our hands to not only get back in but to even think about challenging for league or CL - the rot set in before Mourinho arrived but he was not able to turn it around and you are very much right in saying a better managerial appointment at this juncture (or sticking it out with Poch and giving him the backing) may have seen us back in the top 4 looking to close the gap on the teamss at the very top - in which case Kane would no doubt be keen to stay (imo)

If he goes to Chelski or United I’ll be sick. United are not going to be winning league titles under Ole. Plus they have fudged us over for our best players to many times. He goes to Chelsea and he’s pushing Judas levels in my eyes.

How could they afford him?
Issue another share deal?
It was over £100m and all up front
That’s why United didn’t do it
Instead they brought two subs and they ha e flopped
And now United have similar losses to us but a much higher cost base
And even with CL income again their finances won’t be better than last summer after the lack of crowds, higher wages abs money they owe from previous deals

I don't know where you got the upfront part from. Virtually no transfer are ever paid up front and Dortmund didn't request that. What was timed was the deal had to be done by a certain date if United didn't agree to the fee by then the deal was off. United let that date lapse thinking Dortmund would crumble and agree to a lower fee but obviously they did not.

He won't be. Neither will meet Levy's asking price

It also may not have. We’ll never know.

What’s for certain is Levy has royally fudged up the football side this last three years.

The alternative is psg or he stays.

He loves the club and loves scoring goals far too much to ever consider downing tools. If he refuses psg then he will need to get his head right and continue working his damnest for this club and also try and get that greaves and shearer records.

Life wont be too bad getting paid 200k a week for the club he loves becoming top scorer for club, country and in the league.

I’m sure he will cope and when he is 30 he can join whoever he wants in the world on a free and get 500k a week and win all the trophies he wants.

I’m sure he will cope with that.

Yeah they did
They said all up front and by a date
I was in Germany at the time for work at a MOD site and it was part of the news (I had to get it translated)
It may not have been reported much here but it was in Bild in Germany

I appreciate your point but it’s not very realistic is it, we will sell to the highest bidder that Kane wants to go to and I don’t think that will be PSG

It’s not as simple as you make it
Firstly the club have a fee they want ... that’s a limiting factor for 99.9% of the teams in the world
Then they have to agree terms on how we want that money
And then terms with Kane (should be a formality)
It may not be the highest bidder as Levy holds all the aces and he decides

Yeah you could be referring to a couple of different things within that post but nevermind.

Kane was not ever going to stay at a Europa League level club too long so we needed the managerial change gamble to payoff, it didn't so here we are.

said it earlier, to be fair to Kane he's already given us 8 full seasons (plus two before on loans), he's not Bale, Carrick, Berbatov, Modric (least out of them) who as soon as they hit the top of their game left.

as many have said, his options are super limited, so what he wants and what he gets this summer are likely to very different things.

I would be massively disappointed in Levy if he dealt with those scumbags and Id be sick if Kane contemplated going there. I wouldn't begrudge him Manchester or abroad but he loses all respect from me if he goes to Chelsea. And he'll get nothing but abuse every time he comes back and it will be deserved.

But it still wouldnt even be the palest of imitations of what rSol did. Every step of the way, what that clam did was contemptible and treacherous beyond words. There's nothing Kane could do this summer to have him spoken about in the same breath as Judas.

Thankfully, I think Harry has more class and Levy has more balls than to allow that to happen.

Yep
Someone comes in with the right money and levy is happy, he goes
And no one would begrudge him

Yep, and this summer might not be a bad time to have £150m to spend! Plus whatever we get from selling some of the chaff...could have up to £250m

Struggle to think of any home grown players under say 24 years old who I'd be excited about us signing mind you...

How grown is an issue in Europe more than anything
Worry about that once we have got back in the CL
It would though expose why we what aaron’s for example
Could go for DCL
Or Ings and Ivan Toney
