Harry Kane MBE

Gave everything on the pitch - both in attack and defence, after playing 90 minutes for the national team in mid-week.
Scored 2, produced another wonderful assist, should have had at least one more goal (hit a woodwork and Fabianski's save) and 1-2 assists (Bale's miss). Won 6 aerials (4 of which were in defence). Only Soucek won more.

I feel sorry for Kane. His another extraordinary impact to the game was nullified by some teammates.

So today I had an argument on Twitter with a frenzy (possibly African) arsenal fan who jumped in on the talk sport feed from Troy Deeney today who said Kane would be called one of the world best if he was foreign

this guy started with Benzema was better than Kane last season... so I got the stats and no he wasnt

then it was aubemeyang is better.. so I got the stats and whatever way you carve it Kane’s are better. He did say that Aubemeyang has scored more since he has been here which isn’t true as usual. They seem to not want to include his first half a season here as although aubemeyang scored loads... Kane scored more
Then it was trophies one which again I referred to Wes Brown being better than any arsenal player ever with that logic... he couldn’t agree so

then it was Lewandowski is the best. I agree he has scored more in the last few season but I also caveated it with let’s compare them when they were both playing for a less dominant side... Kane’s stats are better than lewandowskis at Dortmund, and he even won the league there

so in short, when you compare Kane with the very best and you take it to a realistic like for like comparison, he is better than them all and is the best striker in the world

anyone who argues is wrong and can feck off

I have two issues with that, why the fcuk were you listening to talk sport and why the fcuk were you engaging with a scum fan, otherwise I agree with you.

That's interesting re Aubameyang, because i might have wondered if indeed he had scored more than Kane since he joined Arsenal as i thought Kane had more injuries in that time. Do you mean he's still scored more overall than Aubameyang or do you mean more goals per game/minutes?

Either way, Kane is incredible. I wonder: is he the best striker that Jose has worked with?

I mean if you include the first half a season that Aubemeyang had kane scored more in less games as a total
If you don’t he scored 4 less but played a lot less games

Since joined over the same period Kane has scored 81 goals
Or TBF taking out the half a season
Aubemeyang 62 in 105
Kane 58 in 83 games
Whatever way you carve it Kane scored more

Kane vs Aubameyang is easy. Aubameyang is a great finisher but Kane’s overall play is far superior.

Kane vs Lewandowski is a lot closer IMO. Lewandowski has scored an insane amount of goals in the last couple of years, should have won the ballon d’or last season. His record at Dortmund was still very good, scored 20+ league goals every year and was arguably their best player and scored important goals in finals etc. I think trophies are the only thing missing from his CV now. I agree it’s harsh to belittle Kane for not winning anything but at the same time it’s very hard to find fault with Lewandowski given what he’s won the last few seasons. Yes he plays in a dominant team but he’s been their best player for most of the time he’s been at Bayern.

He hasn’t been the best player at Bayern IMO
He has been a key player but at various points they have had others who were better in other roles
Kimmich being one and last season and Gnabry at points
But it’s his consistency which is astounding
It is though easier in a team that’s so dominant. His international record for a side comparable to England is better than 1 in 2 which is brilliant

But I doubt a single Spurs fan would take a swap..... Yet I bet quite a few Bayern fans would do so...
