Harry Kane MBE

105 goals. Upto 14th in the Tottenham All-time List. Hoddle you're next on 110

And upto 44th in the all-time PL scorer table with 82

My thoughts exactly.

The fact that he didn't stand out as amazing at any one thing is what made me unsure as to whether he'd make it at the top level at all. He's not all that big, all that strong, he almost looks clumsy when he takes someone on - the ball invariably comes off the defender at some point in the move. He's not graceful on the ball like Alli, whilst he can score from distance he doesn't hit them like Eriksen, he's not blisteringly quick, etc etc.

Yet pretty much everything he does is effective. He is on target with a ridiculously high proportion of his shots, he keeps posting huge shot per game numbers and we all know about the rate at which he scores.

I really get irritated by the increasing number of fudgewits who feel they the need to add their tuppence worth by telling the whole world that Kane needs to be paid more or that we will struggle to hold on to Kane. How the feck is it their problem? Every time Kane scores a goal some depart has to add to the debate, then there is of course Jamie Redknapp who seems to have to repeat it every week. Just feck off already.

The latest dotard is West Ham's Mark Noble? WTF? Why don't you feck off and worry about the fact that you have lost lost your Cup Final

Agree. If you had to put money on a player being totally in tune with what Poch and Levy are doing - and therefore having the patience to see it through - Kane would be one (with Lloris being the other).
It's obvious that Kane wants to break scoring records at Spurs. Unless something terrible happens in our fortunes, he's going nowhere for the foreseeable future.

(un)luckily for West Ham they are never going to have that 'deserves more money' problem with Mark Noble.

would it make sense that the highest goals scored also = highest # of shots hitting the woodwork?

There would seem to be a correlation... although Eriksen has hit the woodwork more than the majority of forwards, so it would appear to be more dependent upon the volume of shots attempted...
