We turned £40m for Modric 2 years back. Real Madrid happily shelled out £80m for Ronaldo, and if you're telling me Bale is half the player Ronaldo is then I'd have to disagree.

If Bale stays - and performs AGAIN the way he has, this would mean maybe buying better players to fulfil his potential, then Bale would easily be worth the amount Ronaldo was worth
Then again if we also qualify for the CL and he showcases his talents even further, then the sky is the fudgein limit.

yep, factoring in his young age, immense talent, current form, and the media bandwagon placing him in the same bracket as Ronaldo and Messi, then Levy has every right to be looking at a figure close to what you mentioned.

don't think he's quite THAT valuable.
60 million quid seems about right if we do want to sell him. Depends on the years left on his contract, though. This summer, there'll be three left, which still works in our favor. hence, 60 million. Next summer, it'll be two, so 35-40 million would be about the maximum we could get. The year after that, 20 million.
If United, City or Chelsea come knocking, 100 million, no negotiation.
