If he's in their CL squad, he's earned his medal IMO. We have no idea what he does in training to better their team. Noting of course that he seems disengaged. History will simply state, 4 Champions Leagues winners medals. Or however many he'll have won.

I always saw a guy who could run in straight lines but beyond that was devoid of ideas. I never saw a star TBH

His goal against City at the start of last season, left them like they were standing still.
He’s rapid, was the quickest player at the club I think, Bale like speed.
