Football Trivia Question of the Day

Nottingham Forest (50 seasons) is correct.

Wow, I would have thought they spent more time in the top division.

I looked at list of the seasons clubs have spent in different divisions a while back (probably on your site) and there were a few clubs with 50-60 years in the league and never reaching the top tier (or possibly even the second tier).

What about Millwall, QPR and Palace for 50 years in the second tier?

No, not Millwall, QPR or Palace - but you could go for another London Club.

No and yes.

I checked THFC6061's site and Fulham is 5th with 50. I'd add that Forest are only listed as being 49 seasons in the second tier.

I was looking for the most seasons in the Football League without being in the top-flight. Two clubs have been in the league for over 100 seasons and never made the top tier, while another three have spend more than 80 seasons without getting to the second tier.

Lindsey was one of the counties that later became Lincolnshire, so it must be Lincoln City, S****horpe United or Grimsby Town.

I'll go for S****horpe, just to show up the word censor.
