Anyone know what percentage of teams, that take the first penalty in a shoot-out, triumph?

I would guess that the team taking the first penalty has an advantage. The chances are that the first penalty will be scored, which means that the second team is always slightly more under pressure as they are playing catch-up.

They said on Norwegian telly last night that the last eight world cup penalty shoot outs has been won by the team talking the first pen. I guess last night makes it the last nine. Only going by their word so it might be bs.

Excluding the ones that didn't have quarter finals and therefore no European nations in them I'll go for the last one in 2010.
