Fixture & Ticket News - 2014/15

Though I do agree paxtonwolf, £70 is ridiculous for a footie game.... I can justify it to myself as I don't get to go very often now, it's a NLD and my 40th is a fortnight later! But if we lose, bloody hell.

Will probably stick £30 on an arsenal win as match day insurance!!!

Hopefully you wont need to. For varying reasons we have only managed to make 3 NLD's at WHL. 100% record P3 W3
All 2-1 wins and I am banking on that 100% record staying intact \o/

Maybe the £54 is the ridiculous figure though? I mean, shouldn't there a reasonable number of the cheapest ones?

Was looking at U2 tickets yesterday afternoon, missed the brawl for £30, £60, £100 tickets. All that was left was £180!!!!! For a SINGLE ticket for a rock concert! And this includes some of the upper tier at the O2. The most expensive were £220 and this would get you next to the stage, plus some VIP addeds. People now reselling for £1000+

Point I'm making is, I don't think the problem is the most expensive seats and I think if you sell out, make them as expensive as you like. The issue is the cheapest ones.

Show it on a big screen in some arena and charge £10 for entrance.

You don't really get bad seats at a football match, while at a concert you'd lucky to see the stage if you're far back.

The usual complete disregard for traveling supporters and foolish people stupid enough to want to go to live games then?

Fa cup draw was Monday evening and it's now Friday with still no announcement of Burnley Fa Cup game?

TV games now confirmed so assuming that with New Year's Day fixtures all Prem teams will play their matches on Sunday 4th?

Between the FA and us this is once again an appalling dereliction of duty to supporters.

No surprise whatsoever, no thought for the fans, NLD tickets went on sale this week and we all know it wont be Sat 3pm. The ko times of league matches should be confirmed before supporters apply for tickets for any match, BT/SKy should be liasing with the clubs.
But we all know it wont happen, and it is only going to get worse when Friday football comes in. No doubt Sunderland or Saudi Sportswashing Machine v Southampton will get chosen for one of those Fri nights with a simple 'f-u' to the travelling fans.

Have I missed anything got are there still no details whatsoever about date and ko time or ticket prices??

No nothing at all.

Burnley match due to be played in 19 days no confirmation of actual ko time, let alone when tickets are going on-sale. I have checked on the Burnley website, nothing on there either

NLD - still no TV schedule announced for Feb, so nobody can book train tickets/hotels to get the better deals

It is so frustrating, but it is the same everytime :2walls:

They've now had a week to sort this out.

Surely they knew that if it was an all PL clash it would go back to the Sunday?

Train tickets are already ridiculously expensive. Does anyone care......course they don't.

Modern day football is for people watching on TV not us silly sods who bother going. Part of me can't wait for the bubble to burst and return to pre 1992 football.

Any idea what the LP cut-off for Palace away is/will be?

Applications had to be in by last Wed, still no word as far as i can see!

And now with friday football in the next few years another day to be put in the mix.

With all these supporters organisations why can't they insist in the new tv contract coming up that games need to be listed at least 8-10 weeks in advance so fans can sort themselves out. It is pointless selling tickets so early for a game where fans do not know what day the game is on.Its perfection at the begining of the season where the fixtures come out in the middle of june or the main games are known to the police and clubs at end of May but sky/tv won't produce a list of sorts till the end of july.

i prresume another tv list will out this week since draw for the champs league and europa cup has been done.

Burnley FA cup match on the Monday

BURNLEY FA CUP DATE CONFIRMED

Posted on 16 December 2014 - 12:15

We can confirm that our FA Cup Third Round trip to Burnley will take place on Monday January 5, kick off 7.45pm.

Both Clubs explored all possibilities for the scheduling of this fixture. Given the Premier League fixtures on Thursday January 1 off the back of a busy festive period of games, Saturday January 3 was not a preferred option.

The possibility of moving the fixture to Sunday January 4 was discussed, however this was not possible owing to an issue with police and stewarding resources on this date.

We are fully aware that the date for this match may present problems to some members of our fan base intending to travel to Turf Moor and we are currently in the process of confirming details to assist with transport arrangements.

We shall update as soon as we have further information on this.

Please note, this game has not been selected for live UK broadcast.

What a load of b#llocks this all is.

40k a week and modern day footballers cant play twice in 3 days. Are you having a laugh?

But it is perfectly acceptable to expect fans to travel over 200 miles on a Monday afternoon/night when for some it is probably their first day back at work after New Year.
Football really is getting more ridiculous by the season

It should be, but I wouldnt hold my breath, these schedules seem to be getting closer to the actual match day each time. NLD is only what? 7 weeks off now and still no announcement, pathetic really.
P#ss up and brewery springs to mind right now

note: CL draw made yesterday morning, 24 hours later TV schedule and ko times and dates already sorted....it can be done

This year the premier leaue had the option not to play on new years day like they did a few years back when it fell on a thursday but this year they decided to play and feck up the fa cup instead, they get billions of money in the tv deal,if you ask all the managers they would prefer not to play but Scudomore and his money grabbing gang wanted to,just to please the asian and european markets.

the fa cup is always played on the first saturday in january so why try to destroy that tradition just for money.cnuts.

Why not boycott the game, Spurs fans?

I am pretty sure we wont be selling our full allocation of 4000. For us Northern monkeys it isnt too bad, but I really sympathise with the guys and gals that would have to do the 400+ mile round trip.
I can see plenty not entertaining doing the trip, but for those that do, hats off to them, because I doubt the weather will be too appealing either
