Though I do agree paxtonwolf, £70 is ridiculous for a footie game.... I can justify it to myself as I don't get to go very often now, it's a NLD and my 40th is a fortnight later! But if we lose, bloody hell.
Will probably stick £30 on an arsenal win as match day insurance!!!
Maybe the £54 is the ridiculous figure though? I mean, shouldn't there a reasonable number of the cheapest ones?
Was looking at U2 tickets yesterday afternoon, missed the brawl for £30, £60, £100 tickets. All that was left was £180!!!!! For a SINGLE ticket for a rock concert! And this includes some of the upper tier at the O2. The most expensive were £220 and this would get you next to the stage, plus some VIP addeds. People now reselling for £1000+
Point I'm making is, I don't think the problem is the most expensive seats and I think if you sell out, make them as expensive as you like. The issue is the cheapest ones.
The usual complete disregard for traveling supporters and foolish people stupid enough to want to go to live games then?
Fa cup draw was Monday evening and it's now Friday with still no announcement of Burnley Fa Cup game?
TV games now confirmed so assuming that with New Year's Day fixtures all Prem teams will play their matches on Sunday 4th?
Between the FA and us this is once again an appalling dereliction of duty to supporters.
Have I missed anything got are there still no details whatsoever about date and ko time or ticket prices??
Any idea what the LP cut-off for Palace away is/will be?
Applications had to be in by last Wed, still no word as far as i can see!
290 points last year, but that was a season opener.
BURNLEY FA CUP DATE CONFIRMED
Posted on 16 December 2014 - 12:15
We can confirm that our FA Cup Third Round trip to Burnley will take place on Monday January 5, kick off 7.45pm.
Both Clubs explored all possibilities for the scheduling of this fixture. Given the Premier League fixtures on Thursday January 1 off the back of a busy festive period of games, Saturday January 3 was not a preferred option.
The possibility of moving the fixture to Sunday January 4 was discussed, however this was not possible owing to an issue with police and stewarding resources on this date.
We are fully aware that the date for this match may present problems to some members of our fan base intending to travel to Turf Moor and we are currently in the process of confirming details to assist with transport arrangements.
We shall update as soon as we have further information on this.
Please note, this game has not been selected for live UK broadcast.

Burnley FA cup match on the Monday
And now with friday football in the next few years another day to be put in the mix.
With all these supporters organisations why can't they insist in the new tv contract coming up that games need to be listed at least 8-10 weeks in advance so fans can sort themselves out. It is pointless selling tickets so early for a game where fans do not know what day the game is on.Its perfection at the begining of the season where the fixtures come out in the middle of june or the main games are known to the police and clubs at end of May but sky/tv won't produce a list of sorts till the end of july.
i prresume another tv list will out this week since draw for the champs league and europa cup has been done.
Why not boycott the game, Spurs fans?
