I really don't think people understand what Fazio brings to the team. I get all his weaknesses, we can all see them, however
- his ability to win almost 100% of everything in the air really protects us a lot more than is obvious
Go watch the AVB/TS and even early Poch teams that got smashed, a lot of it was when we were pushing up, high ball over the top, our defenders wouldn't cut it out, it would leave them exposed against a runner, usually in a 1:1 type situation.
In the PL, the ability to win/cut out that aerial route is a massive proactive advantage, you think Stoke is difficult to score against for top side because their defenders are good with their feet?
