FA Cup Thread

Indeed, I'm still too traumatised by my last visit to Wembley Stadium for an FA Cup SF plus "lasagne-gate" and "mind-the-gap" to hold out much hope of ARSEnal throwing away such a golden opportunity to end their own barren run :(

Just praying that we can 1-up them by winning the, more prestigious, Europa League trophy [-o<

The only rays of sunshine I have got from this weekend are the fact I have a meeting with the boss(big City fan) on Thursday, so I wont be getting any stick about Sat night, and I work in Wigan alongside plenty of City and Wigan fans.

I may have to light the touchpaper early on and retire to a safe distance

I used to make so much out of that I had to do a tax return
 
If Arsenal win then europa league goes down to 7th which is where we will be soon. I would rather the new coach got time to actually coach the players in his style of play next season and we would not play in europe at all.

haha i did the same today and backed ajax again while watching them on betfair, ajax really are the dutch us.

Based on games v Emirates Marketing Project they are, but thats where it ends though.

Still cant believe they have beat them again, especially at the Etihad. I have a bit of humble pie to eat at work tomorrow. The WIgan lads were convinced they would win tomorrow and I took the p#ss.

i really dont care if Arsanal win the FA cup.......the cup lost its magic long ago. The Championship play off final at Wembley is now a much bigger and more exciting prospect than the FA cup final. Imo.

Don't think that's true. I believe in the FA Cup the runners up will get Europe ahead of the league position. The only way it would have gone down to 7th is if Emirates Marketing Project played Arsenal and both had already qualified for Europe.

Would they rather win the playoff final or the FA Cup final this season? Whelan claims winning promotion should be their priority, but I think another trophy and European campaign would mean more to the fans.

I do agree with the original point though. Domestic cup finals are boring as ****. If Spurs aren't involved I couldn't care less. Playoff finals I might actually bother watching.
