FA Cup SF Ticket Details

Blimey, that was no bother today - straight in there & booked! Pity it was not always as straightforward

Got on after about 5 mins, got 9 tickets in block 133 behind the goal. Pretty similar seats to where we were for the Chelsea final. Hopefully that means good things!

I am leaving it to my sister today as I'm travelling to and from Norwich. While the train has wi-fi, it is rather slow, and made worse by the effing enforced Windows update that seems to be taking place on my laptop right now..... 17% complete and we've just arrived at Chelmsford. The chances of this finishing before I get to Norwich are probably slimmer than my getting throug on the ticketing queue in the same time!

2 and a half hours later finally get 3 tickets for block 133! Got through on one laptop about 11ish, put 3 tickets in basket, system crashed every time tried to checkout. Eventually got through to putting in payment details, before again crashing. Tried on other computer which just finished queuing, got 3 tickets put in payment details, again crashed, then was loading for 20minutes before finally going through. Painful painful painful, but worth it in the end! Hope everyone else who's queueing away gets through alright! The system really is useless!

Did the same as the CC Chelsea final - after crashing out three times and two hours of frustration, phoned Ticketmaster customer support and got straight through, 2 seats block 135.

Ok - I called ticket master customer services - was through in three minutes. Told the lady that I had brought tickets but it crashed at last minute. It was a lie ofcourse. She said she could process it now if I wanted to I said fine - in six minutes in total.

Block 132 row 16. woooooooooohooooooooooo - chelscum gonan fudgein get it

were you? what time did you start? logged online about 25 past and still painfully far back in the queue

logged on at 8.35 and just waited. It was refreshing itself for about 20 mins

Good luck to the rest of you still waiting. Normally it is the other way about.

Whatever happens after the game is irrelevant, surely, to what has gone on during the game.

Not sure if I get what you're saying.

The moment Ledley and Keane lifted the league cup trophy, I couldn't really here any of the cheering and celebrating because they were blasting really loud music on the PA system. And it wasn't even a Spurs song...it was that Hi Ho Silver Lining tune...that happens to be a chant for other clubs (e.g. Wolves). Obviously I still had a great time, but that moment was ruined.

The discussion was about how poor the atmosphere was during the Pompey semi a couple of years ago. Lynneb said that the problem with Wembley is the "enforced songs" after the game.

I merely pointed out that, though that kind of thing isn't to everyone's taste, it has no impact on the atmosphere during the match.

That is true for the post-match 'entertainment', but loud pop music is also played relentlessly in the pre-match build up. That has a big impact on the mood / atmosphere IMO. I think it encourages fans to approach the game as a 'big day out' and entertainment event rather than as a football match where their vocal support is needed.

Happens in other matches at Wembley too...I went to to Conference play-off final a few years ago and it was just as bad.

Didn't work for me. :(

Pre match noise from PA systems and jumbotrons is a feature of most stadiums these days. But it doesn't affect the atmosphere once the game has started. Wembley is no different in this respect.

What is different is that Wembley is simply enormous and noise dissipates in the cavernous interior.

I have to disagree. Despite the noise dissipation problem you refer to (which I agree exists), the music on the PA system at Wembley is far, far louder than at any of stadiums I have been to in the past 5 years. At the league cup final I'd see people a few seats away from me start to chant and then stop because they could barely even hear themselves.
