FA Cup 5th Round - home to Palace

Shrewsbury, Reading, Leeds, Blackburn, Hull or Bournemouth at Home please. Will be right in the middle of the Europa games and just after the important City fixture. Save the big tie for the 6th round and Semi's if we get there.

Too right. Some people say we have to play the big guns to win it/get to the final (not always true), but yes most times true, but like you say, play them later rather than sooner. Heard a few say lets have Arsenal at home, f#ck that (how did that go in the League Cup?), nah let the big guns play each other.

Those fans would moan and say they were disappointed. Tbh if you get to a final playing non-PL teams every, or nearly every round, and win it, it doesnt have an asterix next to your name saying
FA Cup WInners 2015/16* (*but they never played anyone on the way to the final)

Totally agree Wigans run to win it was unreal!
 
So thats United on TV for the 50th time on the trot (and that nots an exaggeration)
Chelsea v Emirates Marketing Project nailed on for showing.
Think our match has a shot All-PL, London derby, Adebayor returns. Has to be one of the Sunday slots
Probably Arsenal v Hull which I would think the Police insist is played on the Saturday to avoid clashing with us, and probably with the lack of thought for travelling fans it will be Bournemouth v Everton on the Friday night...

Because we're his old club? He never exactly did it for us against Arsenal or City. He played in two 5-2 defeats, a 6-0 defeat and a 5-1 defeat.

It's Europa League that week, so Liverpool, ManU and Tottenham have Thursday games, all away too, so would expect all three to play on Sunday.
 
Not too bad having Palace at home in the FA Cup 5th Round. But wish we got drawn with non-PL team instead. Pochettino has been rotating the squad in the FA Cup and so it will be a difficult match against another PL team, just like Leicester in Round 3. And then there is the return of Adebayor who no doubt will be fired up against us. Let's hope we will use the home advantage and beat them to progress to the quarter finals.

Although I'm sure we played in Seville and then away at Chelsea midday on Saturday!

History means diddlysquat. I still remember him scoring for City against the Scum and then running the whole length of the field to celebrate in front of their fans. Massive dingdonghead. Certainly don't want the same to happen to us.
 
The last time we faced Palace in the FA Cup was in the Round 3 of 2004 when we beat them 3-0 with Kanoute scoring the hattrick. But we then went on to suffer that 3-4 debacle to ManCity in Round 4. Hope we will do much better this time. Wonder if someone can emulate Kanoute by getting the hattrick against Palace this time as well. On current form, Chadli looks like our best hope as he almost got the hattrick against Colchester. But then, wont mind who will score as long as we win !
