Euro Millions £128m on Friday

I never get how people seem to be more inclined to gamble on things like Euro Millions when there is so much money for the winner. If anything, it makes it harder to win, as more people probably play.

I would be much more tempted if there were 150 £1m prices to be won, rather than one £150m.

But im sure every single person says the same thing but then that one person wins - IT COULD BE YOU.

Besides if you win - like wow man just wow.

£250,000 would be a very nice win. People say that amount wouldn't make you rich...nope...but you could pay off your mortgage/buy a house and then all income, aside from bills, is your's. That sentence excludes sharing the wealth but I'm sure that most people could afford to do both if they won that kind of money.

when it gets this size they should just split it up like roy says or give it all to suggested charities from the playing nations. way too much for one person to win

Well...I guess that's why I'm not a gambler, I just don't see the attraction of a 1:200.000.000 winning chance, or watever is is. I'd rather have a 1:20.000.000 chance of winning £1m (probably wouldn't even fancy those odds TBF).

£1m would make me debt free, with money to invest - I'd live comfortably for the rest of my life. Of course with $150m I could live like the sultan of Brunei, but the chances of that happening are so ridiculously small, I just don't see the point.

But that's just me - each to their own, and good luck to whoever buys a lottery ticket!

If one of us did win it do you actually ever think of what you would do? I don't mean what fancy things would you buy but how much do you give to your family? I mean if you've got £150m what do you do? I've said to my friends before that if I won the lottery I wouldn't give any of them anything, not because I'm greedy but because it would just destroy friendships. Your essentially attatching a value to them and if you fall out there would have been no point to it. Some of my friends said they would give me some but I genuinley wouldn't want it. It causes to much $#it.

As well as that how would you invest it? If a company or bank goes bust aren't you essentially stuffed?

Also, I think I'd give a ton of it to charities but wouldn't a million for each charity essentially just mean wage top ups for the people that run some of them?

I think I'm going to buy one tonight but in the circumstance I do win it I don't know whether I'd be thrilled or have a nervous breakdown!

Anyone here that just wouldn't want to win it?

It's a massively life-changing sum for anyone except the ultra rich, and I don't think I want to change my life. I know everyone says they'd stay the same, but realistically all of our lives would change significantly if we won.

I just don't think I'd want to risk changing - I'm pretty happy with my lot and knowing that I've earned it.

Also, winning would make me a hypocrite for spending the last 20 years calling the lottery a stupid tax.

I take it your ticket didn't come up then :)

The odds are so slim, I've never got into it. Did anyone win tonight? Someone on here!?
