Wow how fudgeing brick are those Eire strike force

Keane has more international goals than Rooney, Kane, Vardy and Sturridge put together ;)
Not that he will be playing. It will be Shane Long up front his own with a three of Walters, Hoolahan and possibly McClean in behind.
Now when was the last time England beat a top side in a competitive game? 2002? 2001?

Out of those named I'd pick Kane first, but Long is a far better forward than any of the other Englishmen. Vardy/Sturridge/Walters and McClean, nothing in it for me, all pretty average. Keano of course was a class above.

I agree with Conte. When you move to a league like that you are basically saying 'I put my wallet and lifestyle before my job'. When David Beckham was picked despite being 50 odd and playing in the States I felt very embarrassed .

You give your manager no relative basis for selection when playing in a league like that.

Somehow, can see this Euro being a boring tournament as are there too many small teams competing this time due to being expanded to 24 teams. Can see teams like Wales, Albania, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Iceland and Austria playing defensively to avoid getting humiliated.

Still feeling bitter about the "drone team" Albania playing in this tournament. They only qualified after creating riots against Serbia by flying a drone during the match and unfairly given a 3-0 win. They should have been banned from football instead and Denmark given their Euro ticket rightly. Wonder what UEFA will do if they fly the drone again during the Euro matches, especially against the host team France !
