Euro 2016 - Quarter Finals

Glad to see Germany win. I used to watch a lot of Bundesliga between about 08 and 13 and it's great seeing so many of the players I'd watched succeed.

The Germans were the villians of the last century but this century they are the country everyone wants to be. Strong economy, great sport, great culture.
 
Right/best team won, i hate the way Italy play and their cynical fouling and time wasting. Its true what they say a leopard never changes his spots. Just to be clear i am not a fan of the German team but they deserved their win.
 
Lessons learned from the penalty shootouts in the Germany-Italy match : never let England-based players take penalties as all of them missed ! All the players playing in the PL, Pelle and Darmian for Italy and Ozil and Schweinsteiger for Germany missed the penalties ! Almost all the PL players have been shyte in this Euro and this match only shows it further.

Wanted Italy to win but disappointingly there were shyte. Thought they were the only consistent team in this Euro before this match. But they put up this shyte performance and deserved to lose. With their shyte record and Germany's excellent record in the penalties, Italy were never going to win the penalty shootout and so it was proved.

I had a very nice bet and I mean a very nice bet when it went to penalties, 3 certainties in life, death, taxes and die deutsche mannschaft winning on pens.
 
Zaza's penalty was ridiculous. Not sure what he was thinking. Surely the "I must look ridiculous doing this" thought must've crossed his mind and distracted him before he hit it. :p

The Norwegian commentators said he'd be declared a "genius" if he scored - not so sure!

It was funny and annoying at the same time. The commentator said it was like watching a ballet dance ! The Italy manager only brought him on in the last minute of extra time. Thought he was a penalty specialist. Instead he blasted the penalty way over the bar like an amateur. Maybe he couldn't handle the pressure of taking the penalty soon after coming on. They should have brought him on much earlier to let him settle down first. But frankly, most of the penalties in this Euro have been shyte.
