Does it really matter when the flight is only 90 mins - 2 hours long?
I'll remember next time I post to lose all light heartedness and remain 100% serious at all times, sorry braineclipse.

Lamela will fly to London at 6.45pm (Italian time) tonight, according to Sky Sports Italia's @RickyTrevisani. Medical at #THFC tomorrow.
I checked and there is a BA flight at that time.

May I refer you to Soldado, Mido etc .
:-k :-"There was no way for me to see that what you wrote was meant as a joke. It was consistent with opinions I have seen, no smileys, one of your first posts here so I know literally nothing about you.
This One fella might but Danny Boy won't. Still, 2 hours on Ryanair is probably as close to reality as a lot of footballers get these days, it's probably character building.Might I suggest that if one is going to spend £28m on a purchase, one might charter a jet?
:-k :-"

A bit like when we signed Bob:5.45pm UK time.
There must be a picture forthcoming either of him leaving Italy or arriving in the UK.
As someone else has said, and as i said after we lost out on Willian, if we haven't signed an agreement 'subject to medical' then we are unbelievably stupid and the club lawyers should be shot. There is absolutely nothing preventing a club signing a player (once personal terms and purchase price etc agreed) 'subject to medical'. The alternative is to send our medics to the player and use a local facility.
The A. S. Rome S.p.A. announces that it has signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur for the FAC outright sale of the rights to the player Erik Lamela in the face of recognition of an amount of 30 million euro. The agreement also provides for the recognition of a variable amount, up to a maximum of 5 million euro for bonuses tied to the achievement of part of the Players and the English Club of certain athletic goals.
