Barry Daines
Ha ha whaaaaaaaaaaaat?
He scored 27 and got his head bashed in and in season's since 4 6 3.
Not 463. Not 46. 13 in 3 years. Terrible.
Fulham in all sorts of bother ,manager don't wanna be there

Equally EPL managers only tend to last about 11 months on average. So he could end up finishing the season, captaining the side under Thomas Frank
He would be a disaster in Ange’s high line, where the CBs have to be able to defend the ball over the top into the channels and sticking him in the under 21s would probably lead to him accepting a loan.Very practical to stick a player who may be needed in the reserves? It's not practical and it's not respectful to a long-serving player.
Yep. Our wage bill isn’t an issue, in fact we have the lowest wage to turnover ratio in the whole league and have lost Kane, Moura and Conte who were all on significant wages. We need to stop operating like a small club.We have over 30 players over 21 years old. We can have 25 in the squad. You think we should buy more and hope the others decide to leave? What happens if they decide 'nah, i'm good'?
If Ange gets sacked its probably because Dier is playing.Equally EPL managers only tend to last about 11 months on average. So he could end up finishing the season, captaining the side under Thomas Frank
It is actually rare for players who are told they're not getting a squad number and will be training away from the first team to choose to stick around. There really aren't too many Winston Bogarde's out there. Most footballers actually want to play (especially as not playing at all for a prolonged period tends to drastically reduce the options and value of their next contract). We have over 30 players over 21 years old. I'm sure he'd love a move. But he isn't going to take anything. He'll want the right move that is economically good for him.
How many moves have clubs had to subsidise some of the wages? I remember leeds paying half of robbie keanes wages to get him out the door.
Maguire and lloris have both turned down moves.
Yep it all feels abit Maguire this one. He was told in the press by the manager that he needs to prove he is worth a place and stripped of captaincy, bids accepted, ultimately not wanted and he is digging his heels in.
4. The agent needs to rip the other 3 off for it to happen too.For every deal there are 3 parties (at least). The player. The buying club. The selling club.
All 3 need to be satisfied for the deal to go through. Otherwise it doesn't.
There may be pressure. Not everyone may be happy. But they all need to sign off on it.
Not true at all.4. The agent needs to rip the other 3 off for it to happen too.
Would the deal go ahead if the agent wasn't getting paid? Not true at all.
Typically the agent is paid by the player. The agent typically carries out his client’s wishes (else the player changes agencies).Would the deal go ahead if the agent wasn't getting paid?

I thought the clubs had to pay agents as well, so they’re basically creaming it off both ends? Wasn’t there a table going round a few years ago showing how much each club was paying out to agents? Ours rocketed up during Jose’s tenure I believe.Typically the agent is paid by the player. The agent typically carries out his client’s wishes (else the player changes agencies).

I find it strange that some think not giving a player a place in the first team squad is a bad way to treat a player, after all it’s not like we wouldn’t let him go to another club where he might get a place in the squad. Dier is unsuited to Postecoglou’s tactics and therefore shouldn’t be part of the squad. There is no room for sentiment simply because the player has been here for a while, he has been well rewarded financially while at Spurs and it doesn’t appear that we’re exactly having to fight off bids for him which is a good indication that he’s not particularly highly rated as a player.Still not the way to treat a player who has given such service over the many years.
It is also a really poor use of a potential resource (somewhat reminds me of what we did to Danny Rose, a player who could well have had a future working with our youth players).

Exactly ...emotions should be reserved for the fans ... the manager should be like a surgeon; precise, accurate and as sharp as a scalpel... show emotions at the end of the season basking in glory! Go on Ange you have my vote for dropping Dier alone on that decision... like dier the person, not so much rated as a player.
