Game as it was is dead, unfortunately, but that's the reality. It's global entertainment now.

Yep, we can kick and scream and look I think fans have a right to protest (I think they can do it better). But if people think Levy is being kicked off a 4BN empire from a 55m investment from the family he has made money for (including his own) then I think they are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Ultimately I made peace with the sport and how its going, best seat in the house is literally at home for me (I get its not for others) but its def 100% going to be an open market game in 10 years or sooner where tickets are sold on value of the game and not discounted for loyalty

This is where the fanbase let's itself down and again another reason I ask who leads the protests (I know this guy doesn't BTW) but these people lose any credibility and that spreads in teh fanbase. If people can't be trusted to be normal how can they be trusted to engage with the execs in the club?

I've seen a huge amount of this kinds crap

It's even worse, the last "protest" (all 30 people) I saw outside the stadium had caricatures of Levy holding bags of cash. Think it's naïve to say the anti-Semitism of portraying our Jewish owner as a money hording, cheap, cartoon villain, really passed over the heads of all involved.

I said that on twitter and got threats, I actually think I said its a bad look if not intentional and still got threats, a guy I know said it was twinged with anti semitism and he became the target of their protests, they created a flag about him and took it round the pubs, they also attacked his son in the pub because his views didn't align and was vocal about it.

Some really good well intentioned people in this fanbase.......Some utter cnuts too

It’s the key part
I’ve said it loads but if you come at me with an argument and qualify it in a clear respectful manner, I’ll happily engage
If you make factually incorrect accusations.., I’ll sack you
The problem is the intent is admirable but the the strategy isn’t
And if you try to have a modicum of tolerance fit wanting to join in your called names
I’ve been reading up on Mussolini recently because I knew there was a new drama coming and it’s exactly how he got into power .. if you not with him your against him. The weakest leaders do that
The best leaders identify the purpose, are clear in articulating it and stick to it

I'm not sure there is even clear intent or at least articulated in any way

Yep it's happening everywhere, clubs have decided to cartel it In that respect. Worse is soon to come in a few years for those that still believing in the romanticism of supporters and ST holders being the lifeblood

I had this argument on this board years ago, it has been clear with tv rights, sponsorships, non football events, sports tourism that in time the local fan, the butt in seat fan would not be the significant revenue generator.

This is back to the earlier conversation, fan groups (when they could have) should have made buying to the club, having some kind of economic influence as shareholder a priority, never was likely to be a Germany model, but there has to be a place between 0% and 51%

Same as any fan base/group of people in the world, I suppose.

And in case anyone was in any doubt that's it's all about the cash nowadays

Yeh I like the German model of it, skin in the game and keeps the board honest, it seems to work also from the point of view that the boards there seem more in tune with the fans.

What I have bene told and mentioned on here before is that owners and chairman are being influenced by the US model which has come from influence of more American owners of less STs and yielding on high profile games. Sell 10,000 tickets to people for the NLD at £2000 a ticket knowing many corporates and tourists will and then you don't care that Brighton is half empty (I am just plucking figures out but just look at Baseball, full one week, empty the next).

Its coming, more money elsewhere and the yield and market for accommodating new fans is the future. They don't want the oldies and kids anymore or they want the rich oldies (not me saying I agree, just how it is)

Sport for rent, just look at the Snooker, darts and others that were built on British fans to get to where they are...........all they want are emerging markets

I meant when they were saying they are
going to allow new concessions 'only in cheapest/worst seats' ....at West Ham thats all seats then ....in that pathetic excuse for a football stadium
