Yes revenues reasonably similar (our revenue is higher if we're in a better European competition than them and vice versa). They typically operate a higher wage bill than us. Assuming things stay the same (i.e. neither of us gets sugar daddy type investment) then ourselves and Arsenal are likely to be close to each other for the foreseeable future. We should have the edge on stadium income but Arsenal should have the edge on commercial income as they have considerably more supporters around the World than we do on account of the paucity of our trophy success compared to theirs.

Apparently arses commercials revenue is below ours. Not sure if that’s an effect for sponsorships not having to pay as much due to lack of top level competitions…
And this is Swiss Ramble who is a an arsenal fan

Yesterday SwissRamble posted a very long but very interesting blog on the Deloitte Top20
https://swissramble.substack.com/p/money-league-202122

"Just for fun, let’s also take a look at North London. Tottenham ... earned £75m more than Arse.anal last season (£442m vs. £367m). This is largely due to their new stadium, which has led to £26m more in match day and £41m more in commercial"
And he doesn’t have current numbers

are Arsenal spending through owner investment or are they drawing on the cash reserves they built up over the post stadium move years?

The Swiss Ramble probably has a deep dive on the Goon finances somewhere?
What’s clear is their turnover will have increased on that season so the 434 he has above. That figure does include a season in Europe which they didn’t have last season (so those figures will be lower). They don’t much gate receipts for Europe as that’s included in the season tickets
They also had a relatively similar debt position to us for player transfers at £140m
Their wages have traditionally been higher than ours too
Despite what people think I can’t see that going down as they have acquired players from city and are paying them big wages. They also haven’t sold much player wise
They are running some risks financially and there are articles again they are just using club credit to fund it all

The figures for clubs that haven't released their statements are guestimates. We only got £360m in our last financials. Deloitte's has us at £443m for 21/22.

Sounds like he is ambitious about his club

KSE in general are fairly ambitious for all of their sports teams, they’ve gone big on the Rams in recent years, got a Super Bowl for their trouble (though they were brick this season) they’ve done some good deals with contracts to keep the Avalanche team strong, just got a Stanley Cup for their troubles…

Deloitte’s table is perfection
Creates more problems than it’s worth as it’s doesn’t explain anything on face value

They were limited in their spending by buildong both their stadium and the rams stadium. Now they are free to spend more. They also gave their manager time to build his squad. Maybe give enic the chance to show what they can do?
