Dreadful dreadful signing, I do not understand how top level scouts saw him play and thought he is worth £65 million, the average fan in the stand saw it as a disaster signing. We wont miss him. Hes been almost as bad a signing as Ndombele.
Even better if we sold both of them.I said a year ago that I'd have sold Solanke to get some cash, buy a new first choice and keep Richie as second choice / rotation.
In hindsight, we'd have been so much stronger if we did that.
True lol But would have been better to sell Solanke before everyone realised he’s uselessEven better if we sold both of them.
He was much sought after at the time wasn’t he. You could see tonnes of ability and some warning signs so it came with a lot of risk. IIRC, he destroyed City in the CL the season before.Dreadful dreadful signing, I do not understand how top level scouts saw him play and thought he is worth £65 million, the average fan in the stand saw it as a disaster signing.
fudge me. RDZ must be wondering what he’s walked in to. Since he came here, he’s had 3 games and lost 4 players for the rest of the season. And not just any players, his captain, his most creative player, his best wide player and his centre forward.
He strikes me as a decent bloke, but GHod he's been an awful signing
We routinely poke fun at our previous shocking striker signings like Postiga, Raziak and Andy Booth, but for me Solanke has done just as poorly for infinately more money relative to the times. Apart from a few penalties and a fluke Scorpion kick what else has he done?Dreadful dreadful signing, I do not understand how top level scouts saw him play and thought he is worth £65 million, the average fan in the stand saw it as a disaster signing.
Come off it mate. We bought him to score goals. He never troubles the keeper.Harsh on Solanke in here - he had a reasonable first season in what was a terrible year for the team, went on to spend a long period of time out injured stretching deep in to this season and then came back to a brick show, with a substandard set of attacking & creative players around him.

I don't agree with you. He was perfect for Ange's system. The scouts did an excellent job!Dreadful dreadful signing, I do not understand how top level scouts saw him play and thought he is worth £65 million, the average fan in the stand saw it as a disaster signing.

Fanbase is in piecesAndy fudging Booth, the bloke who joined on a month-long loan and barely even registered a shot in four games. Who joined from a Division 1 team and was then released on a free transfer by that team a few months after the loan with us. Do me favour
Nah, this lot always talk bollox.Fanbase is in pieces
