Knocked these up last night whilst on spare driver sitting around bored.
He was fudging abject until the West Ham match so fans were entitled to criticise his performances. Just like now they are entitled to give him all the credit he deserves.
What I think is under-appreciated about him, is that he has spent much of the season not in his favorite position yet works his gonads off for the team without complaint!
Also a true pro by all accounts when he didn't succeed straight away at the start of the season.
I think people are too harsh about his performances as a striker. As the lone striker in our setup it will really be about chance conversion and often the striker won't be involved as much in open play as our midfielders.
I haven't noticed much of a difference between having Dempsey as the lone forward and having Defoe as the lone forward.
Me neither but then that speaks volumes about defoe.
Izzat Jimmy Nail? Certainly someone from Middlesboro and environs.
Love his line on the Dempsey goal - "rainbow pass, pot of gold at the end of it."
Nice piece about Deuce in yesterday's New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/02/s...s-clint-dempsey-rarely-stands-still.html?_r=0
