Dele Alli

Alli's moment of stupidity against WBA not only cost us the league title run but have put players like Dembele in trouble as well.I am convinced that if we had Alli against Chelsea, we would have won and avoided all the controversies. He surely would have scored the chance that Mason wasted when the score was 2-1. Instead, without him, it put undue pressure on all the players and caused them react the way they did.
Given how wound up Dembele was I dread to think how Alli might have reacted in the game.

I do get the feeling the players were mentally affected and very nervous playing against Chelsea without Alli. Otherwise, why react angrily when we were leading 1-0 and 2-0 ? No logic at all.

On the contrary i think Alli would have been sent off in the Chelsea match. He would have been target numero uno for their wind up tactics .

Alli partied with Leicester players and John Terry according to mail, but in that hood they can't prove it

Well, his club season's over and his preparation for the Euros hasn't begun yet. Given that he has no official obligations, I don't particularly care if he chooses a night out (or a dozen nights out) with whomever he wishes. Personally I wouldn't like to spend time in the immediate proximity of John Terry, but I presume one can't always account for taste. :)

Maybe he has a clingy girlfriend he's looking to offload.

"Dele Alli is in line for a mega-money adidas boot deal that will send his global profile soaring.

Sportsmail understands the Tottenham sensation, an existing adidas athlete, is in discussions over an improved contract with the sportswear firm.

It is believed the deal could be worth in excess of £8million to Alli over a minimum of five years, which would be worth more than his current Tottenham contract.

Adidas believe Alli will be an integral part of their marketing activities in the UK and abroad in the coming years and the 20-year-old has already been selected by to play a key role in their Euro 2016 operations.

Alli will star alongside Germany World Cup winner Mesut Ozil and France star Paul Pogba in their Europe-wide poster campaign, which illustrates the rapidly growing appeal of a midfielder who was playing for MK Dons in League One just a year ago."

Holy flip that is an amazing surge to superstardom.

Interesting that his sponsors could net him more than his football pay packet, much like MNU now get more from sponsors than playing football

It is an amazing story really, going from MK Dons to being the UK face of Adidas (to some extent) in the space of 12 months. The thing I like is that he seems so grounded for someone of his age, and for someone who has experienced such a rocket-speed rise in profile. Of course it could all go to his head and he could become a prima donna, but I don't sense that will happen. Let's hope he has sensible advisors working for/with him. Otherwise we will have to rely on Eric having a word.

I bet Poch has definitely helped in keeping him grounded and Eric seems like a no-nonsense guy who would also put a word in his ear. The good thing about this contract is that it doesn't make him as desperate for money, at least in the short term, so a big wage offer from another club might not be as appealing.

^alekaras - what it means is that look to the bigger 9 clubs to come for him. Marketability is key for those clubs. Real, Barca et al will come sniffing especially if he has a successful Euros. They might decide to buy Dier as well if they want the brotherhood.

Unfortunately this. His brand is rising, which makes him interesting to the big business clubs. He could be our club donkey for what they care - as long as he's marketable and a potential money maker to them. I just hope he'll stay grounded and be a part of what we're building for at least a two-three more years.

Although if he keeps developing and being talked up, I can see Alli being sold for more than Bale was in a few years time - if he becomes good enough and Real/Barca come knocking.

150-200 million pounds for two players would be decent. The standard response from fans of big clubs would be to laugh and claim that there's no way they would pay those fees, but then, Madrid fans were saying the same thing before they were forced to part with 100 million euros for Bale, roundly cursing Levy every step of the way and even sweating bullets when they had to take their stupid prematurely erected stage at the Bernabeu down as we refused to sell until the final few days. :p
